"Bad experience due to the rude manager who soured the experience. Worst afternoon tea we have had. Booked via open table for afternoon tea- menu on website said 38£ each. The menu we were given said £38 each. We were charged £42 each and when we pointed out the mistake were told that this is because we were given a festive afternoon tea that we never asked for, was not shown on the menu and were not told about in advance. When we complained that we were not informed of the extra price we were told rudely by the arrogant manager that it said so on the open table app so we had to pay. There was not a word of apology. We also paid a service charge. The waiter was courteous and friendly, but the service was slow, certain things were not brought as you would expect throughout despite few people there, and we were told the wrong information for what was in some of the sandwiches and desserts. So overall we paid £94 and the food itself was also low quality for this price. It used cheap supermarket bread, and overall lacked flavour. The atmosphere is warm and stylish, perfect for a relaxing evening out.
