"A lovely setting at the Fish Hotel. The drive from Fish Hill is an adventure in itself. Set lunch was very good value and beautifully prepared and served. Can't fault it for my daughter's birthday. Wine list is short but very good. All in all a very interesting place. We have eaten at the Dormy House sister hotel on occasions and it is equally good. Will be going back before Christmas."

We enjoyed a lovely lunch. Service in the bar area before lunch was slow but once at the table it was pretty smooth. Food was good and lovely decor and atmosphere. Speisekarte ansehen

I had an excellent Sunday dinner at the restaurant. The roast was delicious, and the wine selection was impressive. The journey to Fish Hills was definitely worth it for this experience.

The restaurant is truly unforgettable. The service is excellent, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is wonderful and relaxing. We usually come here on Sundays about once a month and are always impressed.

As the name implies, the menu is heavy on fish dishies with some different tastes. Apart from ourselves, the customers seemed to be in the better off 35-40 age bracket to whom the ambience, decor and menu may appeal more. Speisekarte ansehen

The lunch was excellent. The welcome was quite average, and the service, while not bad, lacked interaction and interest in the diners. The design of the restaurant is fantastic—truly impressive. Overall, it’s great food, but it felt a bit soulless.

We were a family of 7 for Sunday lunch and we had a wonderful meal. The menu is great for fish and non fish eaters and there’s an extensive wine menu. The surroundings are beautiful I’d describe as luxe log cabin, intimate yet spacious.. service was good. We will definitely be back.

"rebooked the garden space in the dormy house during the stay near the fish hotel. the environment was very warm and welcoming, and overall eating was very good. but the service was lacking and made us confused by reconciliation. In view of the thoughtful and extensive weinlist we could see one of our favourite mixes from South Africa on the menu. after ordering, and about 15 minutes later, the server back to say there was a mistake, and they put the wrong varietal on the list and wanted to serve us a completely différent wein from this manufacturer. we ordered another bottle in harmony with the food we ordered. but our appetizers came before our wine. wait another 15 minutes (we are now 30 minutes in our dinner without wine) and the waiter comes with another bottle saying that they have lost our bottle, but for us to drink this while we wait. no explanation and not even the wine she poured. that was the last thing we saw from our waiter, because somehow the room was busy and she took the other guests for the rest of the night. we finally got our wee who was brought to the table without the cork. strange practice to get a restaurant of this caliber. when we finished our dessert, we fought for 20 minutes to get every server to recognize us or to delete our records. So we went to the server station to ask for the bill. we have observed our server work at least seven different tabs before we had to go up a second time. when the bill came, the server did not even ask us how our dinner was. we gave our credit card and the other server took it away. she returned 10 minutes later to say that she lost the connection. she gave us the card back and canceled the processing statement and said she couldn't charge our card. she did not know what to do and asked if we were with him at the reception (even if we were not guests of the hotel) will not return."

"We (family of four with a teen pre-teen are staying in Childswickham just outside Broadway for a weeks holiday so thought we’d try the Childswickham Inn Brasserie as we could walk there through the pretty village, it has great reviews and it’s dog friendly. We booked for a Friday evening and were given our choice of tables in the very pretty garden area. Everything about the place is wonderful. The pub itself is a lovely country style inn with a very warm welcoming atmosphere. The outdoor area is beautiful with a lit pergola under canvas canopies and very comfortable chairs and roomy tables. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful and made a fuss of our two Labradors. The food was superb. Honestly some of the best traditional-but-next-level pub fare we’ve ever had. I had the pie of the day which was lamb, husband had Cumberland sausages and the kids had burgers. All completely homemade, served quickly, fresh piping hot and with generous portions. Husband suffered from extreme pie envy when he tasted my dish! We couldn’t resist the puds so opted for sticky toffee puddings and chocolate brownie. Again, all homemade, generously portioned and utterly delicious. The food was so good we decided to spend our final meal here and opted for Sunday lunch. We all had sirloin of beef which were served with the best (and biggest! Yorkshire puddings we’ve ever had. We’re from Yorkshire and we know a perfect Yorkie when we see (and taste one and these deserve the highest praise. The beef was perfectly cooked, thickly cut and it melted in the mouth. It was served with a generous portion of roast potatoes, cheesy leeks (a personal favourite! , a selection of perfectly cooked veg lovely rich gravy. Desserts were equally fabulous. Genuinely up there with the best food we’ve ever eaten and exceptionally good value. I just wish it was closer to home as we’d be returning constantly! I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Perfect food, wonderful service, lovely ambience and surroundings and great value, more than deserving of five stars. Thank you for two wonderful visits, you were a highlight of our holiday!"
