We didn't book but thankfully we were seated. It was a really nice place. I had beef madras it Came with rice and chips. Lovely food, lovely desserts. Friendly staff

3 times we've been for lunch 4 of us have tried various meals, all have been excellent. Staff are very friendly and helpful, great surroundings and great food, what more can you ask for.? Will be going every week from now on

Great local, food, drinks and service all very good. We've had several meals here and all really good. Steaks, Fish, Chicken etc all nice. Booking advised as a popular eatery. Real ale well kept, and the restaurant is tastefully decorated and very relaxing.

I had the pleasure of spending my birthday at this great pub at the weekend! All staff were lovely, as were the locals. Food was also amazing too. Anyone visiting this area should pop in as you will not be disappointed Thanks for a fab weekend. Will definitely be back soon

Very reasonably priced and yet still quality food. Great service, great atmosphere. One of the best places for lunch for miles around and a great selection of craft beers and ales too. In the summer the garden is fantastic and a great place to sit relax and eat out. Top notch local pub.

Fantastic food..good choice of real ales and the service was exceptional.. not rushed.. only downfall was trying to park on the car park... but under the circumstances this doesn't reflect on How good this place this.. well done the horse and jockey...will definitely be going there again

We use the horse and jockey for various family birthdays and events. They are lovely friendly staff. Always smiling and always engage with customers. We never have anything to complain about. The meal portions are huge. And if you have a smaller appetite they will do any meal smaller, which means you don't have to order from the children's menu like other places.

Excellent pub brilliant staff awesome choice of well kept Ales lagers and other drinks. An excellent range of food at very good value with good sized portions too. A great range of cobs are available too. Best pub in the area by far you are always made to feel welcome. It would be worth booking ahead on the restaurant to get a table. Quiz night Tuesdays too, dogs welcome in the bar area. Well worth a visit.
