Il Borgo - Speisekarte

Walked in on a Saturday night with a friend. Greeted warmly by the waitor who served us throughout and was friendly and attentive. Food was good and we loved the atmosphere and decor. Would definitely go back if I was in the area.

I have been going to Il Borgo for about 7 years now. They always remember me and they know what I like. Their veal piccata and veal marsala are tremendous. The cook comes out to see whether everything is satisfactory too. It is small and intimate. Very good service.

I am Italian and this restaurant is a joke. Restaurant is tired as the staff and the food they serve. And the worse part...?the guy brought the bill written by hand as the till was not working!!I've been working in hospitality for 20 years,if the till is not working you use manual check!!!not just a piece of paper!!Avoid if you can

I do not understand the negative reviews for this lovely eatery. The food was truly exceptional. It was clearly lovingly prepared and quite frankly, my pizza was the best I’ve ever tasted. The server was attentive and friendly. This is the sort of place we should all be patronising during this Covid pandemic. They are desperately in need of our custom and the food is well worth your visit.

Two of ate here last night, the food was tasty, hot. Started with the freshest bruchetta ever, and the fungi trifolati, both really tasty. Followed by nettuno pizza, hot, tasty, and we'll present. Also has the spaghetti Al Tonno, again fresh, hot and amazing taste. Washed down with a bottle of pinot, all delivered with great service. Pleasant start to a visit to the Royal Albert Hall. Would recommend a visit.

My husband and I wanted a meal that wasn’t through a chained restaurant. We found Il Borgo on the off chance and it was the best find we’ve ever made! The staff were so welcoming and the food was put of this world. The pizza was absolutely delicious and no doubt the best I’ve ever tasted. Slightly annoyed with myself for not ordering something different from the menu and trying a different Italian dish. Would certainly come back when I’m next in London!!

Wanted to go next door but was shut. First time here. Friendly waiter. Sat out back. Felt quite closed in but decor very thematic for an Italian restaurant. My daughter ordered a gluten free pizza which I shared with her. Was ok but not sure about the base. My wife and other daughter shared a pesto pasta and salad. They thought was average. We also ordered a bowl of fries (don’t ask) that never turned up. Chef was washing dishes at front of restaurant when I was paying. He apologized “was very busy sir”. Don’t think I will hurry back

We went to this place because the Italian restaurant next door was full with a queue outside. We were a party of two and a baby so upon entering we were greeted with we do not have highchairs not even a good evening! The place was smokey although it was not full- seems like the extraction system in the kitchen was not functioning properly. We have ordered pizzas. The pizza bases are definitely the cheap frozen type you buy from supermarkets- nothing that resembles a pizza base crafted and hand-worked as expected in an Italian pizzeria. My partner ordered a pizza with a rucola (rocket leaves) topping. Instead, she had a salad mix on top which included baby spinach and lettuce!!

Da Mario (next door) was packed, this place was empty, and there is a good reason for that. I ordered the funghi trifoliati (sautéed mushrooms) and instead got a plate of mushrooms swimming in MSG or something similar. I set it aside. You don 't want this? asked the waiter? He shrugged and took it away. My main course was a pizza capricciosa which really tasted of nothing at all. Just a soggy pizza base. I thought about this afterwards I think they just forgot to add any garlic, herbs, salt pepper, seasoning of any kind. Whatever. I set it aside and asked for the bill. It must be quite usual for diners to refuse both courses as the waiter didn 't even bother to ask why I hadn 't eaten it. 45...
