Il Fornello serves very traditional Italian food in a comfortable atmosphere. It is affordable and a very relaxed place that is great for lunchtime with friends.

Awful. Tough, flavorless pizza. Overly salty lasagna, manager defended it by saying some customers prefer it that way. Service charge included automatically, for what??? Speisekarte ansehen

an old-fashioned decoration is not the largest visit card of most institutions, and "il fornello" is not an exception. Moreover, the personal is quite unfriendly, not to mention the terrible quality of the ingredients and the food.

great food, friendly atmosphere. I was in il fornello several times because I love eating and the service is great. the presentation is not always the best, but what it lacks to look, it certainly makes in taste. all server are really friendly and the prices are reasonable. it opens all the time, even at celebrations, and has a kitchy small town vibe.

Highly recommend for parties!. Best work-related dinner party ever been to was at Il Fornello, just before Easter. Lovely food and plenty of it! Very attentive and welcoming staff. All my colleagues were delighted with their meals. Basically, everything was cooked to perfection. The ambience was spot on. Called in for a meal at 6 pm there was only one out he person in. My pizza was ok at best, my wife wanted canolloni, none left. She had a calazoni pizza instead, it was very bland and came with half a plate of salad leaves. Once served nobody came to ask if everything was ok or if we wanted any dressing or pepper. When I complained I was told the salad was for decoration and not for eating. When the bill cane they had the cheek to add a service charge. When I told him I wasn’t paying that he never apologised and muttered something under his breath. Only eat here if you want to throw your money away.

The last three times I have eaten out in London at a place chosen by someone else, it has been dire. This place was chosen by friends staying in a hotel nearby, and more than lived down to my expectations. Old school Italian can be...very good indeed, if it is delivered with passion and integrity rather than cynicism and greed. Both passion and integrity were sadly lacking here. Fried squid 8.95) came in soggy, under-seasoned batter and the squid rings themselves tasted of little. A seafood pizza 13.50) was more proficiently cooked, but the main seafood' element was canned tuna. We didn't have sides (except for a couple of portions of garlic bread which I avoided for the sake of my marriage)...
