"The drive from Parma to Chianti without using the A1 Motorway takes you through some fantastic and changing countryside. But eventually hunger and much more likely the need for a Loo will force you to make a stop. This place would not be in your top 50 from its exterior, and the two young men in tracksuits don't encourage a feeling of quality either... Like always, need exceeded doubt.... And Thank Goodness! A charming welcome, A lovely menu, Very decent house wine and the ability to cook ... Specifically, there is a butcher somewhere who has an excellent relationship with this restaurant. Don't be fooled by the Tracksuits, these lads know exactly what they are doing and understand the principles of being a good host and delivering quality products. Before we left we were shown what I would have to describe as a Porterhouse Killer. This was the biggest slab of T Bone I have ever seen No kidding, it must have been nearly 2 and a half inches thick... and apparently they have one customer who eats this... all of it... But probably not or many more years... Excellent for a lunch stop Nice Loo's A Warm Welcome Good Food... Nice One Lads!"

"by delegating a friend to look for a restaurant on the Emilian Tuscan Appennines we found ourselves at this restaurant, before going as from my habit I wanted to read a part of the comments and reviews left, I must say that even before I set foot I had the feeling that the very few negative reviews were dictated by an unhealthy insanity, I felt really impossible that a restaurant, run by locals, in the heart of the sour. I do not want to tell you about our experience, I tell you only that we were welcomed, served and pampered as hardly happens, tried, the dishes are excellent, the quality of raw materials excellent, the excellent service. I'll recommend this place to friends, hoping they'll be as we found each other. Good!"

"When we arrived on a rainy day on the way Via degli Dei we stopped to have lunch and warm up a little. They didn't let us sit down and assume there were no 2 free seats. So we had to eat 2 sandwiches at the tables outside. But after 2 minutes a couple arrived and told them if they wanted to wait 15 minutes a table would be freed... clearly they were not filthy, dirty and sweaty like us... I believe this is a disrespectful behaviour, especially because the local is undermined by being a stop point for the Via degli Dei. Maybe it will, but not on Sunday and not when it rains and you are wet. The place, however, seems nice and food would seem good, to have tasted it..."
