"I had the opportunity to have lunch in La Taverne in Saint-Jean-en-Royans. We were 8. I chose a burger pizza. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this pizza. The dough was perfectly cooked, slightly crispy. The ingredients were fresh and tasty, and the combination of flavors was delicious. The service was also very friendly and attentive, which helped make the experience even more enjoyable. Other guests all enjoyed their dish: ravioli to the death trumpet, royal pizza, ravioli to Saint Marcelin.... In short, if you are visiting Saint-Jean-en-Royans and want a good pizza, I strongly recommend you stop in La Taverne. It is a place where the quality of the kitchen and the warm service join for a very satisfying culinary experience."

"Cuisine bretonne typique excellente. Un moment gâché par des serveuses en salle peu agréables. L'une d'entre elle s'est mise en bout de table pour qu'on lui fasse passer nos assiettes. J'aurais préféré tendre ma vaisselle de bon coeur à une serveuse qui aurait fait l'effort d'essayer de nous débarrasser sans nous déranger.Au restaurant, on paye aussi le service...Néanmoins, nos cafés nous ont été servis par la "barmaid" qui nous a redonné le sourire et à relevé la qualité du service du restaurant.Prix corrects pour des plats et des desserts très bons.Le cidre doux, à boire dans des petits bols comme en Bretagne, était excellent. Je regrette également le placement en véranda plutôt qu'en terasse un jour un peu chaud où on aurait apprécié profiter du "jour" plutôt que la terasse un peu sombre et peu ventilée.Nous étions nombreux mais plusieurs tables vides en terasse auraient pu être un peu aménagées pour nous accueillir.Malgré ces petits désagréments, je recommande vivement."

"different, inventive, unusual kitchen. Delicate presentation, but either you like or you don't like, flavors very sought after by staying in the primitive taste of vegetable or fish meat. We don't expect this in the mountains, the front of the restaurant is very modest, but the dishes are very sharp, it's for a wise audience. The service is pleasant, the very small and intimate room, the very friendly boss."

"What a wonderful evening we just had at Le Picard! My husband, daughter and I went here for dinner tonight, and it was wonderful. The food was delicious! As was the beer! And the service was very special. We typically drink wine; this restaurant has...125 beers, so we figured that we had to go with the beer. My first beer was good, but I left my second beer choice to the owner's discretion....something that would go well with my trout. He nailed it....it was perfect. My husband was having a different fish, so we asked our server (Roman) to pick out a beer for him. He nailed it too! Perfect beer pairings! The presentation of the food was beautiful. If you do not speak French, no worries. The owner speaks English and is very helpful with translating ingredients that are on the menu. All in all, a fantastic meal and a very pleasant atmosphere! Highly recommend!"

"We spent a great weekend with our friends. I agree that the hotel may be a little ageing but with the current conditions, the rooms are clean, you have to place the owners. Owners also large and professional. The chef in the kitchen is a rare pearl. Breakfast is perfect, there's nothing missing. Thanks to the whole team for this fabulous weekend, we will keep good memories."
