"Outstanding. Deserving of every 5 start rating, an absolutely delicious place for a wrap, soup or salad. This saved my culinary day. The owner is a lovely resident of Edinburgh, Omar. The wrap was simple, humble and delicious. I really enjoyed the fusion of flavour with Sudanese and Mediterranean Flavor. The chili harrissa with preserved lemon was just outstanding. Wraps and Salads are always available as is the delicious Vegan Banana, Oak and Sultana cake. They have a more extensive menu that is available weekends. If you would like to try on a weekday, give the restaurant a call to see what they have available. Truly a gem in Bruntsfield. If I could rate this higher I would! I've walked past Khartoum too many times and I'm gutted I didn't try it soon. The food was amazingly flavourful and fresh, lovely chilled atmosphere and brilliant service. Highly recommended

first time they visit this small cozy Sudanese (khartoum cafe,) we have the Falafel wrap and mixed mined lamb with sweet and feta cheese. the food was amazing! great quality and very tasty. also the man who leads this place is beautiful and welcoming. highly recommended.

great, good food! this small caffe must be one of the best values for the quality of the food. I had an salat that was about £5 there was humus, falafal, spicy dressing etc. it was not huge, but eating tasted amazing. the food I had was also gluten-free and veggie. this place is worth a visit! it is small and only seating about 10 people.

I came here regularly during the few months I was in the city. Incredible food, cozy ambiance, and super friendly owner— absolutely no complaints at all. If you’re in the area for any reason, you have to visit and try the fantastic falafel+fuul+hummus wraps with harissa sauce. The soups are amazing too, give this cafe a try! Finding this place was the best decision I made during my time in Edinburgh :

every trip to Edinburgh is a waste if they don't stop here in my opinion. it is such a great little restaurant for lunch. personal favorite of me is the jerking slaughter and if they want spicy to eat that some of the hot soße go with. the hot sose seems to turn as the first one I had was very spicy peanut sauce and the last was hibiscus chili sauce, but they are always great. the part of the baklava is very generous and great with a cup of tea or coffee. the gentleman who leads this place is very nice and welcoming cannot wait for my next visit
