"First off, the owner was incredibly rude to my wife and I, but I overlooked it as the restaurant was extremely busy. (Just saying though that manners don 't cost a thing). Service was unbearably slow, despite there being a lot of staff. The food was bland and my wife has had dozens of trips to the toilet despite us both being able to handle spicy food. I want to extend my thanks to the front-of-house team for their warm welcome. Although we arrived a bit late, they were incredibly accommodating. Special thanks to Irvana (I hope I spelled that correctly) for providing excellent service! My steak experience took me on a nostalgic journey—like Anton Ego savoring his ratatouille in Gusto’s restaurant. It reminded me of a family meal in Holland during my childhood, where I had my first real steak. This may have even surpassed that memory! I was initially hesitant about dining at Miller and Carter since it's a chain restaurant, but if you're feeling the same way, let me assure you: don't be. While it may not be the cheapest option, it definitely deserves a smart-casual dress code that anyone who understands proper dining etiquette should respect. Curious, I browsed through other reviews, and I found it hard to believe anyone could leave a 1-star review without sounding like a “Karen.” It’s important to take reviews with a grain of salt—this is truly a fantastic restaurant! "Arrived for dinner for my husbands 40th Birthday 2 weeks ago now after booking a month ahead for our celebration.Received an email earlier in the week reminding us of our reservation.Arrived suited and booted and excited to find the place in darkness!!No call, no sign, a pile of post on their mat!! We were furious, why couldn't we have at least gotten a call or an email to cancel our booking.Later found out the owner has decided to close permanently shame he gave no thought to actually doing the decent thing and telling people.We hadn't had a child free night out since before covid, had paid a babysitter and for taxis.....shame there was no Michelin Star service or thought to customers. Others people were also arriving disappointed!!"

"fantastic! I booked a table for four here on a recommendation that they had a good vegan menu for a friend who celebrated their 80th birthday. the menu was really varied and worth a good one. the food we had was absolutely perfect. I hadn't changed anything. the place was clean and welcoming, good decoration and lots of space between tables. there was a good mood of lively chat and laugh, but it wasn't too loud. the staff was so friendly and very attentive. I just booked for my own high-time anniversary and looked for others to go back. highly recommended."
