"curious from several reviews and for the attractive entrance I tried this place. the location is very nice, after a short walk of stairs and spaces in a historic building you will arrive at a garden / courtyard with a covered patio. we tried the price menu fixed degoting, good but in my opinion not so convenient. the menu is wide enough and also includes something fish. quiet and relaxed atmosphere. service in just and courteous times. However, it is perceived that the activity is young deserves some otiones. a place definitely recommended. *revisited after a different time and I found it improved, with a menu of the day very interesting. "I leave rarely reviews, but this place for me really deserves, both for kindness in service and for food; the restaurant was very nice because the place was full and called us when he got rid of a table, and it was already late as hours. "Having been in Rome on numerous occasions I have experienced many cozy restaurants with great food; my evening at Il Vescovado in Sutri trumped them all! Starting the evening with a great red house wine and working our way through the primeri, a wonderful selection of pasta dishes and then moving on to a huge steak prepared on the coal grill in the restaurant with fresh lemon squeezed over it. After these two dishes the food kept coming, fresh bruschetta scrapped with garlic and finishing off with sautéed lamb liver! Towards the end of dinner, the restaurant owner Toni sat with us at the table and some of his friends joined; pulling out the limoncello, grappa and more digestives! We sat at the table until 00:30 enjoying the atmosphere and great company. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in Sutri or Rome for that matter as you can combine it with a trip to the historic city and the amphitheater. Grazie Mille Toni!! Simon e Shaber"

"Preso gnocchi funghi salsiccia e tartufo: un po' salati e unti ; tortelli pecorino pinoli ragù bianco: molto delicati… arrosticini livelli medio, tortino di cicoria buono. Terrazza molto bella col sole invernale. Personale, credo la giovane prorietaria, molto gentile. Conto: con un calice, una coca m, un' acqua e i cantucci col vin santo"

"The food was excellent. But the service was absolutely shocking. Our food order came out fairly quickly and was very good. It took about 15 mins to place an order for dessert. When we had finished we asked for the bill after 20 mins, we had to go into the restaurant to ask again. And then had to wait again. We were staying at a nearby hotel and they recommended this restaurant."
