Tucked away in a beautifully decorated alleyway, our rumbling stomachs couldn’t walk past this osteria. As the staffs English is rather limited, and they do not work with a written menu, it proved to be hard to explain that we are both vegetarians. We thought we had made that quite clear, but as the antipasti came out: meat. Apparently they thought only one of us was vegetarian. Plates were brought back to the kitchen, and in no time, our table was filled with some of the most amazing vegetarian dishes we have had in Puglia.
