"This place proposes unusual meats from around the world at a very high price. It was full the evening I went with friends, and they may have been understaffed because service was friendly but slow. When my steak finally arrived, it was bathing in juice, as were those of my friends. Taken aback, I got through it OK but I can 't say I enjoyed it because of the way it had been cooked: not grilled in the traditional way but sort of stewed, then given a semblance of grilling at the end. This had left it bathing in its juices and I couldn 't get over the idea that such excellent meat had not been grilled in the normal way. My lack of pleasure would have offset if I had been served some excellent homemade fries and plenty of salad with it, but alas this was not to be. The fries were thin and dry and lettuce was definitely lacking in the restaurant that night, because my group of five were offered two tiny bowls of lettuce between us. I 'm still not sure how we were supposed to make the division. As an Englishman who knows well, I am only too aware of how other restaurants with a similar pitch offer delicious fries and salad 'à volonté ', so the competition is fierce, to say the least. In conclusion, others in Bécassine that night seemed to be enjoying it so I guess I just missed the point."

Casual restaurant with a very simple but tasting menu. You go there for 3 reasons: the meat is amazing!, the service is very friendly and the place is unique. Go there if you like meat!

This is one of my favourite restaurants in Bordeaux. The food is always fresh and of the highest quality - No frozen food at all exists in this restaurant. It's personal, quiet and romantic (if you want it to be).

EXCELLENT for all good meat lovers, this is exceptional. I've never eaten such good meat from Japan, Scottish... Basic, with a fabulous taste. And the choice of divine wine. Thanks to the boss, passionate about his work. Perfect house, we'll be back

If you do you will love this place. The chef/patron buys all his meat from the farms direct. He cooks with a great passion and he has a great wine selection too. We had two meals here, the first was veal - and the second was kidneys. Both meals were divine. Just gorgeous beautifully cooked meat and a big bowl of oven cooked chips - his own version." I died and went to heaven" Speisekarte ansehen

A perfect welcome is a real pleasure to feel that the boss is passionate because he does. Meat is excellent, there is a real choice. From the moment you come to a meat restaurant and you are not asked to cook that you want it to announce the color! The chef knows what's good for meat so that taste is on top! Thank you to the three of you, thanks to the boss’s wife for telling us about the restaurant’s history. We will come back to discover the rest of your meat. See you soon!

Trip Advisor brought me here, and once again, it did not disappoint! La Table de Beca is a small, intimate steak place, capacity just off the beaten path in downtown Bordeaux. We visited on a random Tuesday, and they were not busy. In fact, just one other table. The chef is the owner, and on this night he was also our server. He helped go through the menu the menu. For starters, we split jambon mangalica (Spanish ham.) I had 400g Aubrac filet (French domesticated cattle) and it was excellent. My colleague had Argentinian angus, also very good. The service was solid, and we had a great steak dinner in an intimate setting. I recommend La Table de Beca!

This place is for meat. I had a veal chop. It was huge and juicy, with garlic and parsley and some very intense pepper. Did I say it was beautifully juicy? It was the best veal chop I have ever had. To start, I had a lovely mix of fois gras and duck pate, which was therefore not painfully expensive. Dessert was rice pudding with cinnamon, and I asked for more cinnamon. I actually also asked for green salad, but no such option in this great temple for meatlovers. I had a fine old Armagnac, also not too expensive, though my restaurateur first proposed a $50. one. This is not an overly expensive place, certainly not luxury dining, but within their niche (meat), you can go high up. Pay attention... Speisekarte ansehen

As the other reviews have said, it's all about the meat. But that's it! This place is themed on a French Breton cartoon character and is full of collectables and niknaks. Not a bad thing.Wines you choose from a couple of dressers in the dining room. There are no starters other than charcuterie, so unless you're on the Atkins diet .....We managed to persuade Geoff to make us a couple of tomato salads ( very good too) to start then had a hunk of veal and a hunk of pork with his acclaimed ( by him) frites. To be honest they were fine but not frites or chips as anyone knows them but potato strips cooked in fat.The meats were very good ( pork dense but not tough)No sauce, no condiments.A decent cla...

Casual, friendly place, rustic décor, specializing in all things meat. Some of the best beef, veal, pork from various countries, not just France. Not touristy and on a quiet street in the Chartrons area. We were the only non French speakers there but were given a friendly welcome and were treated almost like celebrities. Chalk board menu listing the days offerings. No appetizers to speak of except for a charcuterie platter and only one dessert is offered. The emphasis is on the meat, large portions and anything else really isn't needed. We shared a main course salade landaise and went on to perfectly cooked kidneys and duck breast. After seeing some of the steaks going by, we were sorry we d...
