Perfect place for a quiet evening away from the the crowd at Vieux Porte. Lucky to find it on Thursday evening (only day open for dinner) Madame was very helpful with my daughter in law’s allergy restrictions. Food was delicious and fresh. We had the 3 course meal for a reasonable price . Will definitely come back

We popped in for lunch, my mother is a vegetarian and usually the only option is a basic salad. They were very accommodating and they gave her a huge plate of fresh salad and vegetables. It looked amazing. We had the beef brochette which was delicious and the chips were handmade not from a packet. Staff were very friendly, atmosphere was good and it was off the tourist trail. We would definitely return when in the area again.

This restaurant was beside where we were staying in La Rochelle and we went in for dinner one evening. We were not disappointed. The kitchen is visible and the restaurant is run by a couple, him cooking and her serving and making coffees, desserts etc. I had the Maigret de Canard which was delicious. My husband had a smoked salmon starter which was also delicious and served with toasted bread and a large salad. I had a crème brulee and it was perfect. We had the house red wine which was lovely. It was reasonably priced and lots of locals seemed to use it which is always a good sign. We found this gem as it was close to where we were staying. It's away from the main area down a quiet street which is perfect and there is seating inside and out. We have been going to la rochelle every year for the last 9 years in June for the music festival so know the town quite well and we all agreed it is the best restaurant by far that we've eaten in in that time. The owner is Sonia and she's only been open for just over a month. The chef is so talented in his knowledge of food and experimenting with flavours that you'd expect from a Michelin star restaurant.
