"Big disappointment for us who had already visited this restaurant several times from the time of the former chef. The kitchen is not in question because the dishes (soaked fish and desserts (roasted apricots and red fruit we took were very good. However, when you pay more than €200 to 2 (without wine), the level of requirement for the entire service is other than for a beach restaurant. We waited for about 15 minutes before we heard at the next table that we had to scan the QR code placed on the table to have the menu (they were in the same case as we and had not seen it and the person sitting at the table had of course not indicated it to us. No network for me, so hotel WIFI to discover that the cocktails card was impossible to load. On my husband's phone, the card was "finished but impossible to scroll vertically or horizontally under pain of seeing the screen strewn with blue lines and thus unreadable... and no possibility of having a paper card for the bar: so we chose a little to the blind (on the unlit indications of the waitress. Cocktails at 25€ all the same but served without any amuse... Although very nice servers are young and inexperienced: for example, when you ask for an explanation on a dish, the description is copied ... The terrace lacks lighting: difficult to make a choice in the menu or to see its plate. The exteriors are also not highlighted at nightfall: it's very beautiful when it's still day, but as soon as it's night it's no longer seen. In summary: Positive points: the place is very beautiful and the kitchen comes out of the ordinary. The negative points: the value/price ratio is bad (especially there is no menu in the evening, the service is very approximate and we eat in the perennial. Too bad we liked this address."

"Do you like Special Surprises? This fine Michelin Three-Star restaurant is off the beaten path for most non-European tourists. This fact creates a nice advantage. They have some truly fabulous burgundies that are incredibly well-priced compared not only to other high-end restaurants, but to retail...offering prices! I almost hate to spill the beans because wine-lovers may make a bee-line here, but sorry, I’ve done it. Being able to purchase a great bottle of wine at a fair price to enjoy with superb food is what destination dining is all about. We dined here two nights and enjoyed superb bottles of La Tache and Rousseau Clos St. Jacques that were not just marvelous, but marvelously well priced. Kudos to Bacquie for this attractive aspect. We will never forget this blessing! The breads were exceptional and all the courses served on the tasting menu were solid and very delicious. They offer both longer and shorter tasting menus and we tried both approaches during our stay here. If you are coming for just one meal, I would highly recommend the shorter tasting menu and adding the cheese course. Part of their wine room is partitioned into a cheese cave containing at least different choices. Enter the cheese realm and pick your pleasures. The gentleman proffering the cheeses is quite knowledgeable and we chose one that is made by only one person in the world. Once she is gone, the cheese will be no more. How is that for fascinating? A bit remote but Bacquie's restaurant is well worth the drive."

"We chose to try this restaurant after having had dinner at the compagnon dining facility of Christophe Bacquié on the same hotel property at Le Castellet .We were politely greeted and seated without delay on the terrace which offers a great seaview. Our table was moving...and it took repeated requests to have someone steady it.The menus followed with a rather limited set of options at either 41 or 51 Euros for menus and if you were so inclined , you could indulge yourself with an expensive ! quarter-pound burger menu at 40 Euros. Our waiter came around and told us that 2/3 main course items were not available and were replaced with other choices.Service overall was very slow, poorly trained and not particularly friendly but obviously the staff were too few for the number of guests on this weekday evening . We were offered a terrine appetizer that was rather tasteless. Our party had sauteed mushrooms and squid carpaccio for appetizers and the duck ,fish and spanish pork loin selections for main courses. The dishes were well presented but without any distinctive features and the entrées and main courses were tasty but not exceptional . Desserts were mainly prepared with fresh fruit compotes and sorbets and were excellent. There is a good wine selection to pair with dining choices.Overall not worth a repeat experience but you may choose it as a less expensive option to it’s otherwise excellent next door higher-end restaurant."
