Best fish and chips around. Had a few during lockdown, consistently excellent food cooked and delivered by very good people.

very greasy and well over price save your money. dont know why everybody raves about it. will never return try shopplands better price too.

We have just had a fish supper in Lemon Plaice. We have never eaten better fish and chips, in fact it is 'fine dining '. The fish was beautifully fresh-as usual. Cooked to perfection. Thanks guys.

Used to stay next door 50 years ago when owned by Polish gent, visited just before lockdown in March) chips were good then and pleased to say they are now the best I have ever tasted, the lady was very pleasant and listened to an old mans ramblings patiently.

Moved to area so first visit. It was very busy on a Tuesday night but worth the wait light crispy batter and fabulous chips. The Irish curry source was lovely. You may well have to wait but as the sign says this is not fast food it is quality food. Thoroughly recommend. Speisekarte ansehen

I was working in the area and about to drive back north and happened upon this fish and chip shop. I had a small fish and chips with mushy peas and my word it was outstanding. Every mouthful was heaven! Freshly cooked to order and in veggie friendly fat too. I wish this was on my doorstep. Nice staff too.

This place is so welcoming with delicious food. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a sit down meal and chose the half fish and chips and there was plenty of food! Really tasty, especially the Irish curry sauce. We were served quickly too and enjoyed nice chats with the staff. Will definitely visit here again.

First time eating from The Lemon Plaice this evening but would highly recommend it. Very impressed with the quality of the chips fresh, non greasy, and quite light and fluffy (with the odd crunchy chip). It will probably become my local, go to chippy now and without exaggerating or speaking too soon would say they serve the best chips in the Welwyn/WGC area. Speisekarte ansehen
