Leon de Bruxelles - Speisekarte

Nothing special unless you like mussels. Then you are in lunch heaven. Decent salad bar, great mussels and fresh fruit for pud. As chain restaurants go this makes a great change. Worth a visit if you haven't already done so.

I took as a starter the croquettes fromage. The salade served with the croquettes had a lot of black spots and when i looked better i could see some small beasts in my salad... really bad, they did't wash the salad! I informed the wait,...she told me that she will inform the kitchen, thats all... i will not return.

We spent Our holiday in Merignac, and We saw the building,from the motorway. We went there for dinner,-at the next day,for another-and I can say about it, just one word;PERFECT!!! After an over priced, over rated meal on night one, we decided to try this restaurant on night two. What a refreshing change. It was so busy with local families and couples and the atmosphere was incredible. The food was fresh, hot and simply delicious...(moules al papillote with salmon for me and fish and chips for hubby). The services was quick and attentive and I would recommend and return here.

This is the worst restaurant I have visited in ages. Horrible service. The restaurant's Chefs de Service were totally overwhelmed the evening we went (this kind of people live life overwhelmed by anything), very unfriendly people. They said they had run out of Moulles, but...it was not true because they were serving them all around. AVOID. Is not a restaurant to enjoy or have a good moment. What a waste of time and money from my side!

On monday it's not easy to find any good place to eat in Bordeaux area. All restaurants are closed or fully booked. Leon the bruxelles is becoming the solution then. My cushion of rib steak with french fries and salad was over average, unfortunate dessert.. creme brulee the worst ever (burned brown sugar), which ruined all impresion! Checked in advance online that I could get a gluten free meal, and booked a table. Sunday lunchtime. Service unbelievably slow and inefficient, The chap forgot next door table's bread and despite several requests didn't bring us a carafe of water. He delivered the bowls...of chips with his fingers inside the bowls! Food mediocre. Mentioned the poor service at the till, they agreed they were short staffed and said good staff were impossible to find.

We have used other restaurants in this chain successfully in the past, so were happy to visit again. All the dishes we shared were at least good: brochettes de gambas outstanding. Drinks prices at this chain are very expensive in relation to the food. A...hedge masks the view (but not the sound) of the motorway. We had reserved for as we were not certain of our arrival time. We were sent a message during the day requesting a change to Reason difficult to understand.....not very professional. We did enjoy our meal but this is not a place we would rush back to.

There is not much choice in restaurants near Bordeaux Merignac Airport on a Sunday evening. This chain restaurant is surprisingly good especially when travelling with a toddler grandchild...secure and sound insulated play area visible from our table! The service was friendly and our excellent waitress...spoke very good English. The starters are a bit average but the main course Fish and Chips was faultlessly executed and the Mussels were delicious. The building is a little dated in one sense but when built was clearly to a high standard and is spotlessly clean. If I have another early Monday flight out of Bordeaux requiring an airport stay I will look forward to a return visit. Speisekarte ansehen
