Lotus - Speisekarte

Ordered recently from here due to the corona virus and Dynasty Chinese being closed for two weeks. It wasn’t nice at all, the food was tasteless and very expensive!!! We will wait until the excellent Dynasty opens again!!

One of the best chinese takeaways in the area.Food is good.We usually order crispy squid,crispy wanton and sesame prawn toast.The mains are fine eg prawn fried rice,stir fried udon,chicken in blackbean sauce and prawn omelette.Delivery is fast.Pleasant lady taking phone orders.You won't be disappointed.

Spare ribs were covered in an inedible, tasteless mush. Chicken in the chicken curry was tough and tasteless. The duck chow mien was tasty but very greasy. We waited 1 hour and 45minutes for delivery and it was dearer than our usual Chinese which is...unfortunately closed at the moment. Won't go there again. Speisekarte ansehen

zero stars. ordered a pad thai and hand on heart, it was the worst i’ve ever had. tasted and looked like a load of ketchup had been squirted all over it. i never usually bother to complain or review but the quality of that dish...was abysmal. needless to say, they’ll receive no more orders from me and i shall ensure my friends don’t make the same mistake

Five friends gathered here for an evening meal,. Our drink order order was quickly taken and produced. We each ordered a different main course from a very comprehensive menu. There was something on the menu to please all tastes. Perhaps a little slow in arriving..., but well cooked and appetisingly served. . The sweet menu is also very varied, well served and we were all pleased with our different choices. Service throughout was excellent without being invasive. Value for money and we shall return

Ordered a takeaway. Very unfriendly young woman totally ignored me for over 5 minutes as she continually answered the phone. An acknowledgment that I was waiting was all that was needed. Salt and pepper ribs were fatty far too thick and tasteless. At the bottom...of the container a thick layer of crumbs and chilli were soggy. The vermicelli noodles were tasty but it was hunt the shrimp, thinpork and chicken slices were plentiful but quite honestly the whole dish was underwhelming. My first and last visit. I don't understand the bad reviews for this place and it certainly isn't expensive. I am a fussy vegetarian and there was so many options. They also do Japanese, Thai and Singapore. The food was cooked perfectly (especially the duck according to my partner and...Mum). My Mum was visiting and even said it was the best Chinese she has had EVER and that is some serious feedback if it came from my Mum. They were only late by about 15 mins but it was a Saturday night and the food was still hot so it wasn't an issue. Deffo our number one Chinese now.

A group of us had takeaway last week and it was a mixed bag. I had the mixed platter to start, very average perhaps even poor, it was tastless and just microwave reheated I think. The red Thai curry was appaling, I couldnt even eat...it, it was gloopy, thick and the appearance was awful, same with the green curry. However the Chinese chicken curry was excellent , spicy prawns were lovely and the beef and mushroom was good too. The easiest of dishes, Prawn crackers, were awful, cold and chewy, not sure how you get them wrong !. I would never get takeout from there again. Very disppointing to have most of the meal be inedible.

I ordered a meal for myself as a treat while taking care of a sick family member. Unfortunately, most of it ended up in the trash. The house mix starter for one was actually really nice, but the house special fried rice in sauce was terrible. It smelled like boiled fatty duck with thick fat on it, and everything was steamed with hard rice. The chicken with cashew dish had the same sauce as the rice and tasted strange and flavorless, with rubbery chicken. I enjoyed the starter, but the rest was unpleasant and will be thrown away. It's disappointing to waste money and food, but I can't eat it. Even the prawn crackers didn't taste right. Speisekarte ansehen
