"We had dinner and were very happy with our meal. I had the mi-cuit foie gras maison and it was perhaps the best foie gras I have had on this trip. I also had the rump steak and it was a beautiful piece of meat...cooked to perfection. My wife got the vegetarian option and it was good. The pommes frites were fairly limp rather than crisp which normally we would not like but maybe they use a different variety of potato, they were delicious. The apple desert, with a sort of strudel pastry, was ordinary. The formule represented very good value."

"extremely friendly welcome. we are 1 couple of bikers who were looking for 1 guest room at the end of the day and the bosses started 4 to help us and find us 1. As for the meal, for 20 € 1 hot goat salad of the most copied with small honey pot aside for honey goat lovers the gizzard of my spouse had nothing to envy to mine, Argean cassolette in main dish. So this is heavy, but it's good and dessert. a treat at prices more than attractive served with smile and kindness. Let's go."

"We happened upon this place when we visited Montsegur one lunchtime. We didn't like the look of the other restaurants in the village but this colourful little cafe had a friendly and welcoming vibe and seemed very reasonably priced. We went for a small veggie plate and a large plate including cheese and meat. There was a bit of a wait (which the waitress had explained to us - it seemed she was the only person working there) but we happily sat in the sunshine and enjoyed the delicious smells coming from the kitchen. When the food arrived it was fresh and delicious. Even my small plate was not small at all and very filling. It was a bargain - our bill for lunch came to €22 including drinks, making it the excellent value. If I return to Montsegur, I'll definitely incorporate a trip to Le Bitropot."

"On Thursday for lunch. Despite only another couple, it seemed to be a problem that we chose a table in the shade. After we ordered food and served drinks, we were informed that they did not accept cards only cash or cheques.... We only had enough money to buy a child meal for my son who seemed to annoy the cook (which we assumed was the owner. There was another family that faced the same issue. Another couple came to tell them that they could not sit in the table they wanted (if it was not reserved and there was plenty of space on the terrace. The waitress did her best, but the boss (owner). was really difficult and open let us feel rather unwilling. The food of my son when it arrived was very good and the rest of the menu looked good (despite several dishes not available. The food quality pushed our overall assessment to 3, otherwise it would have been 2 if the overall welcome. Not sure if no cards were a temporary glitter, but it seems strange for a hotel restaurant not to take them! All right!"
