Went in for fish bites, no fish bites. Ordered chips with batter, no batter. Ordered a sausage which was paid for to find out there wasn’t one when we got home. Disappointed.

Outstanding fish and chips. East in the region for taste and price. Good size portions, friendly staff, great flavour. Definitely our go to for whenever we want fish and chips.

Not often we get to pass here, but always had lovely food. A really nice chippy, our order varies but I usually always ask for the mild curry sauce which is a favourite side. Chips are really good as expected. Speisekarte ansehen

Maguires Rowlands Gill is our favorite spot for takeout fish and chips. The food is the best in the area, with quick and friendly service at reasonable prices. We don't understand the negative reviews - we absolutely love this place!

We have fish n chips every Friday and most times they’re delicious but today the fish was tasteless and batter soggy and the chips were not cooked!! Come on guys, get it together! We’re choosing to spend our well earned money here so get it right!

This is our local and has been inconsistent for decades now. It seemed to hit a sweet spot about a year ago a bit expensive but everything well cooked. Went last week good portion of chips but pale and the fish was thin and overcooked. Pretty much £18 wasted : Speisekarte ansehen

I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at this restaurant, as the reviews I had read beforehand had set low expectations. The portions of chips were generous (almost too much for me!) and the fish was not only tasty but also not soggy. We ordered one regular fish and one portion of fish bites, which were exactly what we needed after a 21-mile bike ride. If I ever find myself in the area again, I would definitely consider returning. I also appreciated that they offer gluten-free fish and chips upon request.

I have reviewed displays before and given it five stars. The fish and chips are still good although running out of fish at 7 o'clock on a Friday night didn't really impress. The biggest complaint is the policy of getting rid of bottles of vinegar and using a garden spray to apply a mist of vinegar to be wafted over the top fish and chips. This is not how traditional fish and chips should be served. It is cheapskate and unacceptable. The mist spray is also caused quite a stir in the local Facebook sites. If the policy isn't changed it will damage their business. That would be a shame.

The staff at this restaurant consistently serve incorrect portion sizes, never getting it right. When I asked for a large portion of chips, I received a small one every time. The fish was also disappointing, being slimy and clearly not fresh. The battered sausages were undercooked and had a taste of old oil. Furthermore, the prices were exorbitant. The staff seemed more interested in their phones than in their customers, handling food right after touching their dirty devices. They appeared unwelcoming and lacked personal hygiene, with one man and two women being particularly rude and ill-mannered.
