Amazing chips and banging kebab all cooked right in front of you. What's not to love?

Husband bought home 2 portions of chips, 3 sausages. 2 cans of pop and a curry sauce £20! Chips were hard and not great, curry sauce not as good as previously. £20! Won’t be going back,

Not sure what’s gone wrong but this used to be the best chippy around. Last 2 times we’ve been given stale microwaved chips and the staff couldn’t have given a toss. Genuinely worst chips I’ve tasted. Such a shame.

Was hoping under new management they could maintain the quality. Unfortunately tonight, the chips were over cooked, poor quality and cold. Savoly was hard over cooked. I hope it’s just a blip and it improves otherwise we will have to go else where. Shame…. Was always excellent. Speisekarte ansehen

Tried this place twice. Both times chips were ****** awful! Can honestly say it's obvious they reheat there chips which isn't great! The curry sauce wasn't real curry sauce.. the curry sauce was corn flower seasoning and some water. Could taste the flour in the sauce. Safe to say thawlers in the square is the better option!!

Probably the best chip shop in Northamptonshire. Crispy batter, fluffy golden chips, tasty peas and curry sauce that’s perfect. Not sure what more you can want from an absolutely perfect chip shop, seating, plenty of parking outside, easy access and some of the most welcoming staff you could ever ask to serve you. If it’s not available they will soon have it sorted for you, great menu with lots of choice and the kebab’s looked amazing so maybe one for our next visit!

I haven’t been to Michael’s Golden Chippie since before the pandemic. But I grew up in Daventry, and my family visited this chip shop since I was a child. I was in the neighbourhood yesterday and it was great to see they are still open and trading post pandemic. I enjoyed a battered jumbo sausage, and devoured a 1/2lb burger and chips. The battered sausage was fresh, juicy but not too watery, and the batter was evenly coating the sausage and evenly cooked. The chips were fluffy and they have always had the beautiful consistency of almost melting in your mouth. Michaels always have had the best chips I have ever tried…. And I’ve tried a lot.
