Mikes Chippy - Speisekarte

Kebab meat was utterly burnt, Cod was dripping in loads of oil, Chips were soggy. Definitely can find better food from a different chip shop.

As an LGV Driver and parked in a lay by this was probably the easiest order anywhere in the country, Food was outstanding and really great service

First time there and won’t go back. My husband could eat more than half a dozen chips as we’re soo over salted. Not edible in our opinion. Expensive and poor quality. Would not recommend. Speisekarte ansehen

Came here not to long ago, I asked for ketchup in both my burger and my mates burgers, both got some Siracha hot sauce, I had no mouth left. Furthermore, i asked for chips with salt and vinegar, and I wasn't surprised when I only had one chip salted. Thanks.

Changed hands Lots of staff mulling around The chef took the smallest piece of cod out of the fridge and preceeded to squash it flat with bare hands before frying. I ordered a large but upon weighing it, it was just over 3 oz. Don 't go. Poor service. Poor food. Expensive

I’m delighted to say that this is the absolute BEST chip shop down south. Mikes Chippy, in Derby Road, have great standards to their cleanliness they respect there customers. You can grab literally anything you want and will feed your entire family, and more! I have always been very picky with food, and may I say, I eat from here every week! After moving to the area from the coast a few years ago, I struggled to find a good fish and chip shop. However, a friend of my wife recommended Mike's Chippy on Derby Road, and we haven't been disappointed. The food is freshly cooked and delicious, and the staff are incredibly friendly, making the experience feel more like catching up with friends than just a takeout meal. If you're a fan of good chips, this is the place to go. It's simple.

This chip shop is fantastic. I live nearby and have been a customer since the current owner took over the business. I recently asked her why she hasn't been responding to comments on here. The reason is that she was unaware that her business was on TripAdvisor and does not have an account to respond. I inquired about milk in the batter and was told that it is made with water. I would recommend stopping by for a chat, as I'm sure they will do their best to accommodate dietary needs if possible. Now, back to enjoying my delicious pie and chips.

The menu i find it really good its kept nice and simple but you still have alot of options. For anyone who tries mikes chippy i cannot rate the chicken burgers enough,eventhough its primarly a fish and chip shop,his burgers just taste fantastic. Really the quality of the food is really worth the cheap prices. I beleive it about £2 for a large chips,and theres alot of chips so the low price is definitely worth it. The waiting time for this outstanding food it really quick i go there at least once a week and sontimes ill order food for my brother as well as me which i will say,i can tend to order alot but whatever i order mike always says it will take 5 minutes or the most ive waited for is 10...
