"This chip shop is great for a supper with friends. The fish was fresh and tasted it l particularly liked the batter it was crispy and tasty. The chips were good. The portion size was good l am glad l was hungry. The service and staff were prompt with very little waiting and the staff were nice we gave them a good tip they deserved it. They served a nice wine as well. There wasn’t a large cost to our meal and it was value for money."

We dined in the restaurant one evening and the food and service were very good. Huge portions! The cod was amazing! The batter was so light. We all enjoyed our food.

every time i go there for a cheeseburger they cant be bothered to cook it, they always say sorry we have just cleaned up. as i am a local all they want to do is simple food for the holiday makers

great fresh fish and chips! it is a nice clean and bright eating in the restaurant and take away. we stop on our way home when we are in bideford after work. we always have plaice and chips, with extra salt and vinegar-yum!

This is our first visit for a couple of years to dine inside this fish bar. It is lovely to have the option of grilled fish with no coating. The service and quality of the food is as good as ever. Now known as The Pelican Fish Bar.

just great. the chips were perfect and the scattered and crispy almost like tempoura. good location, with parking outside. highly recommended. if we only allow fish chips once on holiday in Great Britain, they must be good. mr. chips met our expectations and we will see each other again.
