"visited a Monday evening when I tasted an Indian meal. it looked empty when we looked through the window, which is not a good sign. a few just came out and they told us that it was very good, so we went in. it's a tardis from a place, how many covers I don't want to appreciate, it's huge! after the usual pickel tablet and popadums both had the lamb balti and emma that took our order, was very helpful in the guide us on warmth suitable for our various tastes. the lamb was very tender and no complaining of the portion sizes. to share with a vegetable rice dish and a naan bread each with a pint of kingfisher we had changed each from £40 what we thought represented excellent value for money. the restaurant is well furnished and clean. worth a visit and not being dropped, it doesn't look as busy as we were almost on this first visit!"

we had such a fantastic night in nazz, the whole family had different dishes, it couldn't blame, it didn't hesitate to visit in any case. I'd be back to go to Indian food.

If you're thinking of a takeaway on a Sunday or Monday, then I would recommend trying Naaz as they give 30% off on these days. We had an excellent meal at a very reasonable price.

Absolutely brilliant Indian restaurant! Staff are so friendly and know exactly what vegans can and can't have. They recommended so many vegan friendly dishes to me and my partner and we had a really fantastic meal. I highly recommend!

We visited ulverston for 3 days and actually had 2 meals here in that time. On both occasions the meal was really good would definately suggest trying the masala and korma sauces .Probably the best we have tasted thats why we ended up going twice...in a short time. Very good value for money and will definately visit again.

On a trip to the South Lakes and strangers to the area we searched one evening for a take away Indian meal. We certainly struck lucky with Naaz and its host, Danny. We had a marvellous chat and excellent food. We would have loved to...visit the restaurant for a meal, but unfortunately ran out of time. It’s on our list should we find ourselves again in Ulverston.

"Staff were very friendly, welcoming and efficient. They were also very kind to our dog. We had drinks and food and though the drinks were good, the food was not. The words 'frozen ' and 'microwave ' were forefront in my mind throughout. The mash potato I had with my pie was face meltingly hot suggesting the microwave was used, and my wife 's battered fish was mushy and watery suggesting it was deep fried from frozen. The batter was also only about 1mm thick and was like wise mushy. The meat in my chunky steak pie was definatly chunky but was a little too firm (not tough, just not tender. Probably the wrong cut of meat rather than badly cooked). I then had the caramel apple pie as did another member of my party. While his was hot, mine was cold. I had mine with cream which when it arrived, had bubbles in and was luke warm. What I think happened was that mine was microwaved first and then drowned in cream and left to sit while the other was microwaved. This mean mine cooled in the cream while the cream warmed. It also meant that the pastry on the bottom went soggy, and from the rest of the pastry, it didn 't seem like it had much crisp to begin with. Now I know that times are hard and pubs like this can 't be expected to make everything from scratch, but there are 3 other pubs close by and unfortunately this one is doing nothing to stand out from the others, in terms of food anyway. Overall, a nice place for a quiet drink, but I 'll not be back for the food. The only saving grace was the price; £80 for 2 rounds of drinks (1 pint, 1 coke and 2 halves per round), 4 mains and 2 desserts...I suppose you get that you pay for though..."
