Noak SE4 - Speisekarte

fantastic local restaurant with changing pop-up menu. friendly and attentive staff.

my friend and I were craving sweets late at night and decided to pop in to see what they had.

Went to Noak for the Japanese pop up. Unfortunately the pop up wasn't on, but the pizza, wine and service were first class. Would recommend.

A bit overpriced for the desserts, although they do taste good but wouldn't likely pay almost $10 for a slice of the green tea crepe cake again.

Overall, the food looked nice but my dish was disappointing. My eggs were overcooked but my friend's were perfect, and there was little thought put into the presentation of my dish, yet the others were a lot nicer. I think if you choose right, you are fine! However it isn't too difficult to cook poached eggs correctly. Maybe I'll give them another chance.

We went to try the Fowl Mouths pop up. The food was phenomenal Sadly the service from the Noak staff wasn't great. We were seated and given menus by one member of staff and then a different one came to take our order and it was only then that they decided to tell us that certain menu items were no longer available We ordered a bottle of white wine that had not been refrigerated only stuck in an ice bucket once we'd ordered it. As a result it was warm. We did tell the staff but all they did was put more ice in the ice bucket.

the service was exceptionally bad, I have the restaurant directly by e-mail, but I still have to have one answer. the service was so poor that we were all really disappointed at what was a nice afternoon. the bases such as menus, salt, pfeffer, general check in for more coffees etc. have not been done. we had to ask for everything a few times. After we had eaten, our dishes were over an hour on the table without someone clearing them away. we never asked if we want another coffee, dessert or how to eat it. there were maximum tables when we were there and the staff were waiting. was really shocking.

we came on a busy Saturday, so was glad that I had booked one table in advance. as we have ordered our food and drinks quite quickly, it took over minutes until our drinks arrived and it took an hour to get our food. we were not warned that there would be a longer waiting period that will receive our food and if we were tracking the personal, about which late were not surpassed. when the food finally arrived, the portions were very small for the price. two of our party had the pancake stack and received only a small piece of speck and a tee spoon compotted. the pancakes were also cold, so obviously we were excited to try noak as it is one of the few brockley caffes that we had not tried, but...

oh, my god to disappoint; hopeless service and a deficiencies of hunters on a Friday night, since word has obviously come out. pity, as the room is large (big curved windows on a corner road with space for a handful of exterior shielded from the street) this local restaurant looked and booked during the day of a Sunday to take a friend who came out of town on Friday night. first there was a disjunct with menu available (only pizza) and menu online (a la carte;) then the menu was kept very easy, which is ok, but none of their suggested combinations grabbed me and then half the ingredients were unavailabble or alternative to specified anyway (e.g. no smoked salmon for the smoked salmon spices...
