"Have visited the OakHouse many times over the last few years and always really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Unfortunately the last few times it’s really gone downhill, with our last visit being a complete sham. The staff are extremely young and lack any form...of training or adult supervision. We ordered drinks and when they arrived one drink was not what we asked for, we didn’t mind as mistakes are made and it was no problem. I didn’t like the way the waitress served the drinks to our table with her fingers around the rim of every glass, that’s bad etiquette anyway let alone in these covid times, I don’t really want someone else’s fingers around the rim of my glass. We ordered our mains after a long wait for the waitress to return to our table, only for two meals to be brought out completely wrong and not what we ordered. We then had to wait another 30 minutes for the correct meals to be cooked whilst the other people at our table had to awkwardly eat their meals in front of the others who had no food. We had to repeatedly ask the staff how much longer the meals would be and was told 2 minutes each time which of course wasn’t the case. We then sat with our table full of finished plates and drinks for another 30 minutes waiting for someone to clear them and to be able to order more drinks and dessert, the staff are not forthcoming in checking things are ok or if you need anything else, you have to keep grabbing them when they are walking past in order to be served. We then ordered dessert and yes, two of those were served up wrong too. Just unbelievably bad service, the place isn’t exactly cheap and you don’t expect this sort of service here. We won’t be coming back any more."

We'd looked this place really wanted to eat there. Sadly there were no free tables. Luckily we went back about 20 minutes later got a table. Great staff, great menu, delicious food.

The full English breakfast was very disappointing as it was not cooked fresh and seemed like many items were prepared in advance and kept warm. However, my partner enjoyed the Spanish dishes they ordered, as they were made to order and tasted very nice.

The service at this restaurant is consistently slow and inattentive. Despite this, the location is beautiful and the food is quite enjoyable, which is why we continue to return. Unfortunately, the poor service often leaves me feeling thirsty by the end of the meal. Speisekarte ansehen

bouncer called Mabz shoved me to the floor, and screamed in my face because i asked how long the wait was. He then put a cig out on my arm and it took a bouncer that was 6”3 to ask him to stop holding me...down for him to let go. ruined my xmas and embarrassing to the establishment. please don’t go here. awful.

Went here mutiple times and always got let in and had a brillant night. Tonight a new lady bouncer checked my ID and didn’t let me in and told me you have to be 21 to come in. Never got told this before and is...f**king ridiculous. Never would try oakhouse again, bouncers are rubbish and lack of communication and drinks take about half hour to actually get to the bar.

I visited this restaurant on Saturday, June 18th. The service was poor despite the friendly staff, as there was minimal interaction for our service needs. We waited for an hour before our food arrived, which was incorrect. My sons were missing their fries and hash browns. We waited over an hour for a salad. Waited in the rain for half an hour to reach the front of the queue for the doorman Mabz to call us a “c ” and says we can’t come in ever again. As someone who has never had any trouble with doormen before this shocked...us and left us utterly confused. The rest of the doormen tried to explain why we had been denied but were unable to provide a legitimate reason. Much better bars which aren’t worth the hassle or worth ruining your night for.

Bouncers are incredibly unprofessional. I have just witnessed a young couple arrive at 10:30pm in the rain and one particular bouncer was about to start a brawl for no reason at all. This all started from being called names by the bouncer and then he...(the bouncer) proceeded to cause commotion for no reason at all. Considering it was Christmas Eve I think the situation exploded for no reason whatsoever and in fact this has changed my view on the OakHouse as I believe this young couple had only arrived to enjoy time with friends and family.
