As soon as you arrive the atmosphere was fantastic very old surroundings we had our drinks ordered right away the red house wine was delicious and also the lamb which my self and husband took.My cousin who is Italian had the tripe cooked in a tomato sauce which was delicious her husband also took lamb.The waitress sat beside our table and took our main orders she was very helpful.As we were visiting from Scotland we loved this place my mother was Italian and came from Rome.Thanks

The sign out front says Vini e Cucina. Not sure why the different name but don't miss this place. I was struck right away by the lack of a menu. The waitress just rattled off all the menu items and gave the impression that she would do whatever you wanted. It seems that mushrooms are in season and we got several pasta ad mushroom dishes that were spectacular and we also got a delicious wine marinated beef dish that melted in the mouth. After dinner we drank some local liqueurs (try the Cedrino) and some Vin Santo with Ciambelline. And the staff couldn't have been more helpful. It was a great experience.

Pranzo tra amici in un sabato dì settembre. Ambiente semplice, rustico con spazio interno ed esterno. Il servizio e i piatti sono proprio quelli che una persona si aspetta andando in osteria. La signora Paola molto ospitale e simpatica. Non hanno menû bensì elencano loro i piatti e consigliano in base ai propri gusti.Ottimi gli antipasti ma soprattutto i primi, pasta fatta in casa in maniera eccellente. Fettuccine alla velletrana la migliore, semplice ma gustosa con un bel tocco dì piccante. La “zozzona” è un tripudio dì sapori ma potrebbe esser troppo, io l’ho apprezzata. Porcini, guanciale, tartufo e pecorino.Non sono riuscito ad assaggiare i secondi.Crostata della casa buona, il vino idem...

We were recommended to the restaurant by the hotel. We were greeted with complimentary champagne as we waited mere minutes to be seated. I think you should make a reservation because I noticed people waiting of upwards of an hour for a table. We split a bone in steak. It was a little tough and completely lacked in flavor. The risotto was just ok compared to some of the risotto we had in Italy. Not sure if there was a lack in communication between our server and the support staff but we ordered a $60 euro bottle of wine and after the initial pour no one offered to refill our glasses. Ci accoglie la Signora Paola che gestisce, assieme ad atre giovani ragazze, sapientemente la sala. Simpatia e cordialità tipica delle persone di questa parte d'Italia. L'inseparabile ed infallibile Guida delle Osterie d'Italia ci ha portato da Giovanni Vini e Cucina per una cena di lavoro. Grazie all'atmosfera e ospitalità, oltre che ovviamente alla cucina, abbiamo fatto un'ottima figura con i nostri clienti. Pasta in tutte le versioni, immancabile cacio e pepe oppure alla carbonara. Secondi uno più interessante dell'altro con la coda alla vaccinara. E cosa direi dei dolci oppure dei formaggi. Tutto da provare con calma. An all time favorite of our Italian friends Seby Valy, we had the good fortune to be entertained by them in this fabulous Osteria found some 40 kilometers outside Rome in Velletri and run by three sisters; the lunchtime atmosphere was warm, friendly and buzzing. Filled with locals, every table occupied, all keen to enjoy the simple but authentic Italian cuisine.
