"My experience at this restaurant was not great. We ordered 2 pizzas, 3 sides, and a drink, but unfortunately, they forgot to deliver the pizzas. The delivery driver offered no apology, just saying he would be back in 10 minutes. After 30 minutes, I had to call to inquire about our order and was told that the driver had already left 5 minutes ago, even though we live only 5 minutes away! Eventually, the pizzas were delivered, but they were not fresh - it was clear they had been made for the first delivery and reheated in the microwave before reaching us. I was really disappointed with the service and the quality of the food. I won't be returning, as there are plenty of other pizza places in St Albans to choose from."

Great pizzas! Loved the vegan one as well! Caution order direct. I used UberEats and the pizza never came. I called the restaurant and they made 2 new pizzas and brought them direct in 20 mins. No charge!!! Great pizza too. I will only be ordering from Papa John's in the future.

Terrible. Do not order from this restaurant, if that’s what you can call it. I would give this place a 0 if I could. Food took over 2 hours to be delivered (I live 3 minutes from the place), turned up cold and tasted like s**t. I would never order from this place, please don’t waste your money like I did.

I had ordered a pizza online and it came with hairs baked into my food, both in the pizza and in the desert. Raised a complaint with the company and they ruled that there were no breaches in their health and safety in store. Funny outcome, seeing how everyone who had it was sick with food poisoning for days after this meal.

Whilst staying in St Albans for the Easter bank holiday,i decided to order a lunchtime delivery here. The freshness of the pizza and ingredients was perfect,absolutely mouthwatering delicious. The delivery wasn't that long either and both the value and service was impressive. To be recommended. I'll definitely use this firm again.

The delivery was fast, but the garlic bread pizza was extremely dry and tasteless. It resembled cardboard. The pizza itself was mediocre, lacking the rich tomato flavor typically found in a good pizza and skimping on the pepperoni. The deal was decent, but overall, I won't be ordering from this restaurant again as it was just average at best.

A Papa John's Pizza is good. However, if your order is wrong, delayed or placed via a food delivery app this franchise is not equipped to cope. The staff can't handle simple problems and/or don't have customer service training to be able to deal with the general public. The manager is inept and rude and should not be working in such a business.

We’ve only been here once and never returned. The person taking our order on the phone could not speak hardly any English, he was rude and dismissive. They got out order wrong, when we checked the pizza we had to ask them to re make it much to their disliking, they were very surly and not apologetic at all for getting our order wrong. There was no love or care in making the pizza that was obvious.

I am disappointed with the recent changes at this restaurant. Not only do they charge for delivery now, but they also prompt for a tip, which is frustrating. The delivery service was slow, taking an hour for my order to arrive, and my pizza was practically cold by the time it got to me. I had to make a couple of phone calls to follow up on my order. The toppings on the pizza were not very generous either. Overall, I was not satisfied with my experience and will not be ordering from them again.

And then I made the mistake of dipping my squid in the homemade tartaric acid sauce. that is when the 1st massive fear happened, as I thought, oh my days; the better then mean, re-entry, deeper, actually cure my wrist action, to ensure maximum absorption of this sweet/creamy/tart/caper filled taste, as I reached for a chip to accompany, strengthen the excellent experience I thought stupid would be a 'standard thing'. Now I took care of you like this, but I have seen on my chips a few each mouthful was an experience, depending on how I stacked the fork, hahahaha. the fish was so fresh that I was looking on my teller sand. ... to dedicate a joy to each chip. ... the muddy heaps, normally warmed, not microshaft to a mass-hotter-then-the-sun, went a tasty bite, and quickly also, for once. the lemon shattered haddock had to be tied to the plate, because this teig was so light that it almost raised to the deck. but as soon as this handmade tasty tartaric acid sauce meets, any responsible 'handler-of-the-fork', wants to make sure that its only trajectory can be swallowed in their waiting swallow. It was so good, I couldn't stand to leave a single diesel and with this tartaric acid sauce, which even made a bulky chip, was nothing left, I was ashamed to ask the cook the recipe for 'this sauce', as he made such a light oil-free beautiful teig. the staff is very attentive, courteous, with a beautiful large sitting area also. get yourself here quickly bungalows to make an ordinary experience, in an excellent exciting eating expedition into a court that we all know so well, but so different. ... enjoy."

"Ever since they opened, I 've been for family gatherings, social events and dates and every time it has not disappointed. The staff are always welcoming and have a positive attitude. They are attentive, happily explaining the menu and how food should be ordered making recommendations. The menu itself doesn 't overwhelm with choice and is perfect for those with all tastes. There are plenty of veggie options and the wine is impeccably selected. The food is absolutely delicious and very well presented. The quality is evident. The portion sizes are perfect and not just stomach fillers (e.g. excess bread or rice). Every bite feels worth it. Please be aware that this restaurant is about sharing and each dish is made for it. There are no 'courses '. It 's about ordering the dishes you want and they will arrive when ready. With all the above in mind, this does mean that the prices are on the higher end and with alcohol you can expect to spend around £40 per person if you also include desserts (which are also incredible, especially the Creme brûlée). This might seem expensive, but remember, it 's about the experience, not just the food! Tabure is worth every penny in my humble opinion. If it 's just the two of you and you 'd like something different with a significant other, I 'd highly suggest requesting seats at the chefs table over looking the charcoal grill! It 's amazing watching the chefs work their magic and adds so much to the experience that most restaurants don 't provide."

"This place came highly recommended, now I know why. We got a lovely friendly welcome, offered a coffee straight away. The staff are helpful and attentive, with the chef checking on our meal to make sure we were happy. A nice menu with a good...range of options to choose from. I had the pancakes with honey, fruit and yoghurt. Plenty to eat, looked and tasty lovely. The hubby had poached eggs on toast with bacon and beans, which he said was very good, when he didn’t have his head down, tucking in. Out of town, so very easy to park. All round, great place."

"The staff are so attentive and friendly. The service is so quick and for the price I think the experience is so good! The cocktails are so refreshing n yum!! We had a cheeseburger while my boyfriend had the truffle burger which we all thought was one of the best burgers we’ve eaten! The best thing on the menu was definitely the fried chicken, which is breaded in rice crispies, 10/10! We also had the loaded tater tots which were insane. Definitely one we’ll always keep going to, just wish the burger nights were all week!!"
