"Came back to check out this great place in Santa Rosa for the second year in a row, and it’s still going strong. Run by local butcher Andrea, it offers a choice of really good quality meat (sausages, steaks, burgers, breaded strips of veal and pork), all sourced from nearby and served very simply – grilled or fried – with side dishes of salad, marinated vegetables (aubergines, courgettes, peppers, etc), roast potatoes or fries. The formula is basic but very effective: make your choice from the selection of meats from the counter, grab a beer or a glass of wine, and then hang out at one of the tables on the local piazza while the kitchen prepares your food. It’s all done with a minimum of fuss and pretension, but the service is fast, efficient, and immensely friendly. And it’s excellent value for money."
