I really, REALLY Love this place and in a way I am glad I didn't visit here first when I arrivedI may have ate here everyday.

Excellent welcome from the staff followed by perfect food and a couple of new album treats make for a cracking visit to Pie Vinyl

Better by far than a pub meal (Tom Kerridge excepted). And the fact the crockery a day cutlery don't necessarily mat have adds to the experience. Keep it chaps.

Hailing from London. Pie and mash is hard to come by outside of the capital but I really enjoyed their take on the 'cockney ' cuisine. The shop is wonderful and show vinyl isn 't dead! One of Southsea 's finest businesses

So many people have recommended Pie and Vinyl over the years and have eventually visited. It didn’t disappoint, fantastic relaxed quirky, vintage setting, vinyl library to browse and delicious pies...we had spicy seitan kebab and gravy , best vegan pie I have eaten, pastry melted in the mouth ! What more could you ask for!

First timer here and all the things I'd heard good about the place was true. Food was delicious and service was friendly. A small grumble would be that although my pie was nice and hot, the mashed potato was luke warm. My other grumble would be sticky sticky table top. Admittedly I could have said something but chose not too on this occasion as so much of the rest of my visit here was perfect.

We visited this restaurant last Sunday and were disappointed. I have been a long-time fan of this place, but their quality has been declining over the past few years. On this particular visit, we ordered pies on August 13th, 2023. We were ignored for about 15 minutes before our order was taken, and then had to wait another 40 minutes for our drinks and food to arrive. The pies were not what we had ordered, and the presentation looked like frozen food that had been reheated. After sending it back to the kitchen multiple times, the staff member in charge was rude to the server and the atmosphere was unpleasant. Despite there being only a few other diners in the restaurant, we decided to leave....

I will preface this isnt exactly a review more a word of warning. We arrived at 3pm (closing says 4pm) so we thought we would sit and have a pie. We were met with a fairly rude worker saying that the kitchen usually closes at 2:45 pm on a weekday, once he realised i wasnt from there he tried to be a bit nicer but i feel if you are going to close a kitchen over an hour before closing that needs to be stated somewhere. They also said they still had pies so i am not sure why they couldnt have pit one in the oven (i worked in a pie shop its usualy 15mins in the oven) or to sell as a frozen one. Anyway, just a warning if you are in the area and want to try. Further there was no other sweets/cames...

the first time in portsmouth, and just came over this caffe by turning a wrong and walking the castle road on the way to catch the coach. this caffe is located on a street with other amazing independent shops, including a few antique and quirky bric shops. When I was there, I was about to kill ten minutes too soon and I had half an hour before I had to leave. I had a look at the menu and I was pretty impressed. I don't like a cake, but I like music and I like quirky and strange and the names of the cake are so kreatiw, named after band names or songs and there are also vegan cakes and they also do cocktails and not alcoholic. and they also sell vinyl and have events. and it's a tiny room wit...
