"Oh, my God, what a tasty bite! we were in a nearby airbnb and one of the reviews for the accommodation mentioned how well this Michelin star restaurant was. we have booked short notice and after looking at the menus on the line we decided to ask before. go to menu “Homard Bleu” with their wine selection. we were already in many beautiful restaurants, but this was the first Michelin star restaurant for our vater. we wouldn't have asked for something better. on a beautiful sunny evening we were picked into the gardens, with well-maintained grass, ripe trees, flower beds and a swimming pool to be met by the maitre d. he could have been pompous, but was nice, our French is poor, his English, somewhat better and he was professional, obviously very intelligent and had a great feeling of humor. we sat on a garden table for a while enjoying all the experience and served delicious aperitifs along with some delicious appetits, a precursor of what was to come. once on our table, on the open terrace, we were treated with an extraordinary, culinary joy from the chef of cuisine, an extraordinary service from the waiting staff and an amazing, magical performance of the sommelier who knew instinktiw, which wein, from the many hundreds that are offered would interact perfectly with each cure. we could imagine that this gandalf has danced like master over his tasting table in the cellar, spends months, not perfecting his mystical art for years. fantastic! they should have seen our fathers face, from beginning to end, the ray of joy that was spread from ohr to ohr for his cheerful joy. we can only recommend that if they ever find themselves within 50 miles of carcassonne, first that they come to see the wonderful city of burg, because it is really a wonder to see and second come and experience the magical culinary magic that is being worked in this fantastic restaurant."

As French as french can be... beautiful gardens, rooms are very nice, but some paint here and there.... classical french dinner, for France the wines are on the expensive side. One downer: the price of breakfast. After a copious dinner, a light breakfast would be...nice, but who wants to pay 25 € for a bowl of fruit and some tea?

Thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to La Domaine d'Auriac. Beautiful surroundings and elegant table settings. Service a bit slow to start but fine once it got going : friendly and attentive. Food all beautifully presented and well flavoured. Only minus point: a wine list of over 200 wines is ridiculous and the wines are seriously overpriced.

Merci

I shouldn't have been surprised- this location already has many excellent reviews but...WOWThat was OUTSTANDING. Top to bottom. Presentation, preparations, location, overall EVEN, excellent hospitality* *We are non French speaking guests. All of it was just wonderful - best meal of our current road trip, which included a Michelin 3 star.I highly recommend and I can't wait to return. 5 stars and two snaps up!

We ended our Michelin starred tour this summer with a dinner at Domaine d 'Auriac. The cuisine is good, but truly overpriced. No creativity in the kitchen and we were disappointed by the simplicity of the menu. Wine flights are good, but the sommelier was not...very into it (or maybe we didn 't look like their usual clientele and they were not paying attention to us, which is worst). It is a miss as the property is beautiful.

to celebrate my 60th birthday, my man and I went to lunch on a wonderful september day. actually it was 30 degrees in the shade of the terrace. we chose the 50 Euro market menu that includes its signature cocktail to be followed by three set courses and wee pairings. the starter of the Fois-Gras was super, guinea fowl main delicious and the coward dessert with chocolate mouthwater. a wonderful environment on the terrace. the cocktail at the beginning was delightful and the accompanying wee were of high quality, especially that white. the maitre d was very charming and was very well looked after. his English was excellent. it is unusual in a Michelin star restaurant to weep in the price inclu...

"Visited today for lunch after reading a recent review about the high quality of food on offer. We were not disappointed! It was superb. There were 3 choices on each of the courses with one vegan option on each course. I had chicken fricassie which was the most delicious chicken dish I've had for a very long time. The meat was so tender, it fell away from the bone; the mushroom sauce was deliciously tasty - it wasn't over seasoned. My OH had tofu wok which he really enjoyed. Both were served with rice and runner beans. The starter was a dish of 2 types of melon one of which was watermelon, with feta. We didn't think it sounded great but we were very wrong. It was served with a dash of vinaigrette made with a light oil, a tiny bit of honey and toasted flaked almonds and was surprisingly interesting. All the flavours worked so well together. For dessert OH had the cheese plate with 3 different types of cheese which he loved but it couldn't have been better than my raspberry Eaton mess which was particularly good as it wasn't overly sweet. All for €18 each AND it was all organic! We sat outside in the courtyard which was a very pleasant area. The ambiance throughout was of calm. No background music, no clattering noises or shouting from the kitchen area. It was a little oasis of refined lunchtime dining, The service was impeccable. The young man who served us was very impressive and able to tell us what ingredients were used in the vinaigrette. It goes without saying that the high standard of food and service were also reflected in the high levels of cleanliness throughout. We only wish we'd discovered this place sooner and will be back again as soon as I can trust the OH's arm"
