Riverside Cafe, Holmfirth

Went for lunch on Friday lunchtime and it was closed therefore I am struggling to find 100 characters to describe it.

First visit to this charming cafe , sat outside and had a lovely Homemade cheese scone … was delicious Will return .

It’s a good cafe for a quick bite and coffee, would recommend dropping in for a quick snack. Staff friendly and place was clean Speisekarte ansehen

I stopped by for a coffee and ended up having a full breakfast. It was absolutely amazing. The staff was friendly and the food was excellent. I will definitely return to try the scones!

During our recent visit to Holmfirth, we stumbled upon this fantastic café. I strongly suggest giving it a try, as they offer exceptional food and provide friendly service from the staff.

We ate at the cafe/restaurant yesterday afternoon, can't fault anything whasoever and felt it deserved a mention here. The food and drinks were amazing and great value for money. The owner/chef has great banter with his customers, was such a warm and inviting atmosphere. We would go back to Holmfirth to have a mooch arounbd just to visit again and sample some of the different dishes on offer it was that good an experience. Speisekarte ansehen

My mother and I arrived for an early lunch, not realizing how early it was and that lunch service had not begun. We informed the waitress that we would wait to order until lunch started, but the owner came out and offered to start our meals for us. We were impressed and touched by this gesture. My mother had visited a few times before and praised the excellent service, and I completely agree. The atmosphere felt like a cozy home. I will definitely be returning again!

After our first visit in Holmfirth we thought of having a coffee and quick bite before heading home. After a search on tripadvisor we thought to pick Riverside cafe since it scored well. Oh boy what a great option. The place inside is lovely . The owner ? A great funny character. The food amazing!!! So fresh so tasty and plenty of it too . My partner got the chicken, ham and mozzarella panini. It came with chips and salad . I got the cream cheese and smoked salmon bagel. Another great dish . Salmon was full of flavour and tasted like it was just made fresh for me. If I’m in the area I will sure go back to riverside cafe.

First time here for us. Visited for breakfast after staying overnight at The Huntsman Inn to celebrate my 65th birthday. As an alternative to our usual full English my wife and I both chose scrambled eggs with smoked salmon on toast, we're so glad we did as it was excellent and tasty. There must have been at least 3 eggs each and plenty of smoked salmon too. The tea and coffee we each had hit the spot too. Paul and his very able assistant (apologies we didn't catch her name! were delightful. At 11:00 on a Monday morning it was quite busy, a sure sign that they're doing things right. They fully deserve their No. 1 spot on TripAdvisor. We'll be back. Speisekarte ansehen
