"Restaurant/tractor a couple of km away from the historic center of Maratea (contrada santa Caterina). Definitely rustic room with friendly and friendly staff; very slow service despite only a few tables were busy. Availability of outdoor seating. Menù not particularly rich in courses. We ate 2 appetizers and 4 first: appetizers (driving of sausages-forming and caciocavallo) seemed nothing exceptional while the first abundant but too oily were more appreciated. Prices tend to be high (first to 14/15 euros except a few rare exceptions) considered the type of local that is more a trattoria. He doesn't deserve more than three stars."

"A Beautiful Pizzeria in Maratea ,run by an exceptional family. Julia and Vivian were amazing hosts. Having feasted on Pizza’s in Pisa, Naples, Rome and Agropoli. Undoubtedly the best Pizza in Italy, is Robert’s Signature “El sol” !! I won’t reveal its secret, you just have to go there to find out yourselves. Not just the pizza, but all the food courses we ate were incredible. Graitinated Anchovies were sensational and a light fresh Caprese Salad so flavourful and perfect for lunch!"

"We the first of only five reservations and none of the tables were occupied yet the hostess tried to offer us a table on a slanted surface. We said it was not acceptable so she offered us a second table also on a slanted surface. We said we were going to leave (we should have!! so they offered us a table on the main balcony but it was right next to a truly stink mosquito candle on the floor. Their menu was a barcode thing with an app that gave poor descriptions of the dishes. I ordered fritura which was not fresh and not hot. My vegetarian wife’s seafood pasta came with meat on top of it! After leaving it in front of her, the server took it away and 15 minutes later brought back a plate of cold, bland seafood posta. The whole time their played really toxic Muzak of Beatles songs while mosquito bit us repeatedly. Neither of us could eat our meals and when the Muzak version of Pink Floyd (Time by Stella Starlight Trio — excruciating!!! we just had to run away…"

"Si mangia seduti sui tavolini nei vicoletti vicino al locale, molto rustico e piacevole con le lucine. La trattoria è collocata alle spalle della via principale del centro storico di Maratea. Il personale è gentile e garbato, soprattutto le due ragazze. Il menù è ristretto ma è meglio così. Abbiamo preso due primi piatti, un secondo ed un contorno con una bottiglia d'acqua per un totale di 64€ compreso coperto: a mio modesto parere è costoso rapportato alla concorrenza dei paraggi. Volevo prendere una bottiglia di vino ma superavo abbondantemente gli 80€ in due e dati i tempi di attesa d'ordinazione l'avremmo finita prima ancora dell'arrivo del primo piatto. La criticità del locale sono state appunto due: 1)Per far arrivare il cameriere a prendere le ordinazioni c'è voluto abbondante 15/20 minuti; 2)Tra l'arrivo del primo e del secondo piatto sono passati circa 45/50 minuti al ché stavamo per annullare l'ordinazione del secondo (Una salsiccia con patate). Contestualizziamo che era una seconda serata (21:45 seduti a tavola in data giovedì 18 agosto) non voglio immaginare in un weekend più affollato. I cibi indicativamente sono stati buoni, impiattati bene."

"Fairly recent restaurant (I think it opened in 2022) in the port of Maratea in an elevated position and organized on two levels with clear separation of the food offered in high season: on the lower terrace only pizza, on the upper terrace, with better views, only restaurant. The Neapolitan-style pizza is good, but not exceptional: good high crust, but the dough in the entire central part is far too thin and with a nuanced taste despite the quality of the ingredients. Good starters and some fish dishes. Medium-high prices, perhaps a little too much especially compared to the quantities. Service friendly enough, but a little more friendliness could be in order. Finally, a logistical note for those who have difficulty: to get there you have to go up a little from the port level (from a small road or a staircase) and then from the entrance of the venue take another flight or two flights of steps."
