"The food is great, with a decent variety of traditional English pub food as well as some Indian dishes. During our stay at the hotel we ate here twice for dinner. The first time we ordered the beef lasagne and steak pie. We ordered at...the bar and were given a number to take to our table, where our food was quickly brought out to us. Hot and tasty. We also took advantage of the deal where hotel guests receive a free drink with purchase of a main dish. An older gentleman took our order and the service was great. The second time however, was pretty awful to be honest. We went up to the bar and started to order fish chips, a beef burger, and two drinks from the younger man working. I don't know what his deal was. He interrupted us halfway through ordering, turned to the girl that was working with him, and started speaking fast and angrily in another language to her, completely ignoring us. We had to get his attention again as he showed no signs of stopping his rant to finish helping us. He entered our order into the till and tried to make us pay for the drinks too, even though we were hotel guests (even if we weren't, the deal was advertised on posters all over the pub to the public for Mon-Fri and it was a Monday anyway). He seemed pretty upset that we wanted the advertised discount. He started talking to the girl again, then stormed off without another word to us. The girl came over to continue our order, and she seemed angry as well, like we were being difficult. I felt like I was being very polite through the whole thing, and once she saw we actually had a simple order, she was much more pleasant. This time I was not given a number to take to the table, so I asked for one. They brought us the wrong food anyway and almost forgot the fish chips. The breakfast buffet was lovely. An awesome variety for the price I think, but free for hotel guests including tea, coffee, OJ, milk, cereals, toast, beans, hashbrowns (sometimes there were chicken nuggets instead, heck yeah), scrambled eggs, mystery meat sausage with the consistency of a blended gym mat, pancakes, crumpets, jams, meat and cheese, yogurt, fruit, berry scones, and even salad, cupcakes and cookies. So, good food. Good value. Good service from most of the staff. Not good service from the younger fellow working that night."

breakfast was very bad, and if the hygiene standards that are otherwise employed in this hotel do everything, you would be well advised to eat elsewhere. they don't get you first.

We went there for breakfast (all you can eat). The buffet was almost empty though we paid full price. Nobody bother to refill the buffet so we had a few options and I did not like anything there. I would not recommend this pub for...breakfast

Have stayed a few times and once again the Ruskin worked well for us. Decent sized room (with TV, tea and coffee, safe etc), clean en suite bathroom and comfortable, large bed with buffet breakfast thrown in. And...live music by the rather good Joe Henderson...Jazz Band on Saturday night. Nice.

sat on successive weeks after facilitation from the fried chicken, curry and kebabs of the strip. kitchen was not open for lunch, and although I had only one other customer, the staff did not let me take away elsewhere and sit for a pint (a form of hospitality that I would have lived in western Europe, although it rarely happens in Australians). because it was not ruthless in the pub, it was uncongruent. the personal seemed upset that I was there at all. only another charming, western pub that has forgotten the meaning of the word welcome the menu looks appetit, but if this review stores the mile that I went to get there. yay.

it was an ok stay for the money. They asked for two more kisses waited three nights (occupied several times) they never made a look. the toilet is not flushed. as a four-headed family we were placed directly above the pub. it was very loud. on Friday night and we couldn't sleep until well over. the water cooker for tea and coffee was really dirty. the mugs for water are not wrapped and sitting right next to the toilet on a small edge near the floor. If I were by the condition of the boiler and the shower stitcher, I would never use one of them! the good! it is only about eight minutes away from a pipe station. the breakfast is perfect. A/c is fabulous!

We stayed here Saturday for a retirement party locally. The gentleman on reception was lovely chatty and helpful. Booking our taxi for the evening and even getting us a price in advance. We ate in the pub before our event and the veggie lasagne was...beautiful. Our room was clean very modern extra tea coffee etc were readily available. We returned in the early hours and gained entry easily. The following morning we had breakfast. There was a good choice of hot food cakes pastries yhoughouts toast and even crumpets. However it was not n the bar and the arrangement seemed a bit temporary. The food was replenished and dirty places etc taken away. I would stay again when visiting family in the a...

my family and I paid four nights, but not in this hotel because of the dirty condition of their bar where the breakfast is served. the bar floor was very dirty and eat crumbs above the floor. a visit in this. hotel was terrible and that made my old child to say "papapa! please don't let us stay in this hotel ', coupled with a louder environment. none of us would like to book this hotel in the future. we talked to the recipeist about the dirty nature of her bar and loud room floor, but replied: "we cannot refund her money. we have left the hotel without refund and paid for premier inn ,london stratford. if you make up the clean hotel and the comfortable environment, please do not book this ho...

"There could not have been a much better way to get my 2022 Michelin Star year up and running than with an absolutely fabulous lunch at Da Terra. The food with some new dishes and redesigned old ones was amazing , the wine pairings from sommelier Maria were perfect and the service was impeccable as always. We’ve had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant from the beginning three years ago through to the two michelin stars they have now but I would have to say that this visit just about tops them all. On saturday we arrived at Bethnal Green station and took the short walk to the town hall where you will find Da Terra. A warm welcome awaited from Jasmin before she escorted us to our now customary Table 10. Once seated over came manager Charlie for a nice chat and to offer us a complimentary glass of bubbles to welcome us back. Now to the menu where there is a choice of three tasting menu’s to which we opted for the long ten course. We started things of with the fabulous and refreshing amuse bouche called the Caipirinha based on the brazilian cocktail. This led us to a selection of snacks that were simply delicious. A Cod Croquette , Beef Tacos , Taleggio Doughnut and a fabulous New Scallop Cup. Before we moved onto our first course it was time to select some wine to pair with the menu and I have to say that sommelier Maria came up with an absolute beauty. The Robert Sinskey 2016 Pinot Noir from the Napa Valley in California was light and fruity and just a sublime pairing. So now to start the menu of we enjoyed a stunning Arctic Char with houghton springs , courgette tucupi. This was followed by the Custard with mussel , sake kasu , trout roe , seaweed and accompanied with sea lettuce crackers that was easily one of the best dishes I’ve eaten at Da Terra. Next to arrive was the famous Chicken which had been revamped and personally I thought it was the best version to date. It came with wings , liver , feet , egg yolk onion. Now it was time for the Bread course featuring sourdough along with bone marrow and three types of butter. This led us to the Moqueca a fantastic brazilian fish stew with wild turbot , palm heart farofa and accompanied with chillies to just add a little heat to the dish. We now moved to the meat dishes which started with the fabulous Raviolo of duck , whey , watercress and smoked duck charcuterie. Then it was time for the Hereford Short Rib with crosnes , cassava , chimichurri and heavenly veal sweetbread salad. These were just another two superlative dishes to add to what we’d enjoyed throughout our lunch. Next to arrive was the cheese course called Romeo and Juliette with a goat’s cheese topped with a guava gel and a fennel cracker. This led us to the Baba with cahaca , pistachio and kaluga before finishing with the dessert of Yorkshire Forced Rhubarb with coconut and twenty five year old balsamic. I have to say the addition of coconut really enhanced this dessert to the next level. We finished with coffee , petit fours and a digestive from their drinks trolley to bring to end another outstanding visit to Da Terra. The food under the inspiration of Rafael , Mark and all the team with the combination of new and revamped dishes was simply stunning. The wine pairings from sommelier Maria were a absolute delight and the service led by manager Charlie was first class. A visit to this restaurant really is a must especially with it’s brazilian influence that your unlikely to experience anywhere else. I really can’t wait to plan my next visit. Thank You Rafael , Charlie , Mark , Maria and all the team for a truly fabulous dining experience and look forward to seeing you all again soon."
