Sichuan-Folk Chinese Restaurant

We ate the hotpot, which was a lot of food. The soup base and sauces were excellent. It was a hot evening and they have air con but unfortunately didn’t have it turned on leaving the door open instead, making it quite hot inside.

The best Sichuan restaurant I've been to in London, very authentic. My dinner guest was able to order in her native Chinese language and enjoyed the food served immensely. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be going back.

Everything about Sichuan-Folk is amazing! The food the, the way your glass is always kept toped up. Unpretentious but delivers on flavour everytime. Only down points was getting us on the naughty step with open table by saying we had not attending after we had just paid for a meal for 5! Speisekarte ansehen

I went because I was in the opposite and had seen the good reviews, otherwise I would have dropped off from the dark lighting and decoration. very happy. we had the ma po tofu and szechuan fish that were both full of taste. Atmosphere-wise does not really win it for me, it feels just a little bit spersome, but eating is good and not at all price.

this restaurant was a great sound. I love eating seuan and so discovering this place in brick was a must try the ambiente is very busy living, there are always many diners so expect to wait or book in advance at this opportunity I have tried the cooked traditional fish and saliva chickens that were both full of taste and very enjoyable, eating great restaurant for an evening meal and eating casual food, will be back in every case.

if they are looking for authentic Chinese food, away from chinatown it is this place to test the hot pot and the products were fresh. they get two types of suppe for their hot pot, spicy or not spicy. they have the opportunity to take a suppe or both. as on my photos, the spicy suppe is full of chillies. it has a really nice taste, although if they are not used to eat spicy food, this can be quietly hot. so glad to make a trip here and next time, I will try their other dishes. I did warn my co-diners this would be spicy. Most understood me but a couple didn't really heed my warning... I think they will next time! You leave Sichuan Folk with a very satisfying chilli induced endorphin hit. And a sometimes worrying temporary lack of sensation in you tongue from the tongue numbing Sichuan peppers. We sampled wood ear mushrooms with Sichuan peppers, chicken in spicy tongue numbing sauce, sliced whelks, little duck things in steamed bun, green beans with spicy minced pork and my favourite the boiled fish in ridiculously spicy broth. Miso high on chillies!!

good seuan. I always find it a good sign when a Chinese restaurant is full of Chinese. a little more pricier than most perennial I often, but the ambiente is much better than the hole in the wall Chinese places. no tube lighting, but dimmed halogen spots and red paper lights. dark wood decoration is thoughtful. you could bring a date here. The subject of getting a Chinese is a funny thing in our household. I love Chinese food. I always have and so I loved my trip to China in 2011 when I was able to sample the real deal (or at least the most Western of their dishes – however much I love Chinese food I can’t convince myself to try the more offal-ly dishes).
