"To me this food seemed very authentic. Well I haven't been to Brazil but the food I ordered was very different to normal dishes that it felt it was an authentic version rather than a watered down British equivalent. Also the food was prepared on the spot and they were very happy to adjust ingredients as we requested (leave out X, swap Y for Z). An additional item to mention was that although the shop logo has a chili pepper in the logo, when we asked for everything not spicy it really was zero percent spicy, again because they made on the spot rather than having premixed dishes. Small negative points my wife felt her rice was under cooked, and some of the ingredients seemed frozen (I guess impossible for them to keep a lot fresh since it is currently low traffic and unusual ingredients). The restaurant is also very toddler friendly so for once we didn't have to struggle to keep him amused. Drinks were great some real Brazilian soda options actually a really big choice of Brazilian drinks. Finally there is a selection of items to purchase as the restaurant also acts as a small shop. So the cassava condiment topping I really liked was there as packets to purchase in the shop area as were a bunch of Brazilian ingredients and drinks."

"A wonderful Italian corner cafe and restaurant with a fabulous deli 'Dippiu ' which stocks home made and authentic Italian food products and dishes served in situ or to take away. Antonio is the perfect host, making everyone feel welcome, I am transported to Italy every time I visit. Delicious coffee, authentic recipes, amazing sauces and personally selected products based on ancient Italian traditions, this is a treasure of a find, and highly recommended. Thank you, Antonio!"

"I had high hopes as I am a pizza lover, how wrong could I have been. Greeted by a rude member of staff, so not the best start. The cafe was busy, very busy, the tables are very crammed in together and so much so the back of my chair was being hit by every person and memeber of staff walking past....... While trying to order the member of staff seemed more concerned in talking to people walking through the door and other members of staff, a bit annoyed, we still ordered had we had high hopes of some of the best pizza in Devon..... How wrong we were. My pizza was how to put it..... pretty awful, I've had better supermarket own microwave pizza's...... the toppings didn't reach the edge which was VERY dry so that was left. I paid and left, why I paid I have no idea. Rude staff and below par pizza, just don't bother, you will be better off going to Pizza Hut."

"I could not mistake the service in this lounge. food and drink order from very efficient and courteous employees. the food is delivered very timely. unfortunately we had to eat without talking. You couldn't hear when the muzak was so loud. I noticed that everyone had to call in communication. not good for the ears, not good for social interaction, certainly not good in the current covid climate. this place could have offered a much better experience if only the volume of the muco was somewhat lower. I notice that these phenomena are very common in restaurants and caffes. is it intentionally designed to scare customers from the superposition of their greeting?"

"My husband and I have never been here before, even though we live locally, but I can assure you it'll be a new regular favourite. The food was stunning, the service was exceptional and the small details made all the difference. We booked online last minute for our anniversary, we made a note of this on booking and when we arrived our table was decorated with balloons and we were offered complimentary desserts. Unfortunately we did decline as we were so full and the food so delicious we didn't want to ruin the flavour but the thought and touch was so lovely we will be sure to keep coming back. Thank you to everyone that made us feel some welcome. We look forward to seeing you again soon and showing you off to our nearest and dearest. We have nothing but positives to take away from our experience at The Barn Owl"
