Stein's Diner - Speisekarte

Bad math. The check was 30.20 and we were verbaly asked 40.20 . Payed after we recived the check. Apfelstrudel was excelent, service not so good.

I had lunch here with a friend. Staff was friendly and had no problem speaking English to us (despite our attempts at answering in German). We had to wait quite a bit, but that was due to the many people dining at the place. I would certainly return.

We were a group of 5, had a drink and an apfelstrudel. All was ok until the waitress told us the amount to pay. We had 30€ and she asked for 40€...twice. So we asked the receipt and she acted like nothing happened. So if you come here, pay attention to the check, the waiters are bad with math. Speisekarte ansehen

We had a fantastic meal The Omelette with the selection of from Seven items, I had the smoked salmon with the dill cream cheese on toast with tomatoes cucumber and olives together with orange juice yogurt and fruit the Coffee Was also great . These service was very friendly and not hurried. 32 Euro

Ich hatte zuerst ein Mittagessen hier, Apfelsaft mit einem leckeren gebackenen Eiersandwich in der Sonne. Schnelles, professionelles Personal, schmackhaftes Essen, faire Preise. Später kam ich zurück für ein schön kühles Bier, das ebenfalls sehr gut war. Das Menü bei Stein's Diner ist wirklich empfehlenswert!

Hervorragend gelegen, ganz in der Nähe des Parlaments, des Rathauses, des Volksparks und anderer Attraktionen. Ziemlich gutes Essen, wirklich guter Kaffee. Nicht sehr teuer, aber auch nicht billig – sagen wir mal, moderat. Die Kellner sind nett und freundlich, aber der Service ist ein wenig langsamer oder vielleicht habe ich einfach nicht genug Geduld. We liked the atmosphere of this cafe - situated on a busy road so you can sit and enjoy watching the world of Vienna going by. The place serves a range of good breakfast items and food and drinks throughout the day and evening including casual meals and full dinners. The coffee and juices are lovely. It gets extremely busy but we got served relatively speedily. We wished they had more innovative vegetarian dishes but it is possible to get vegetarian meals here. Prices are 'average' for a cafe of this kind on a main road near the centre of the city.

Wir waren in einem Hotel in der Nähe dieses Cafés und als wir es von außen sahen, machte es einen wirklich guten Eindruck. Positive Aspekte: Sie haben die englische Speisekarte, die Qualität der Speisen ist wirklich gut, die Lage ist perfekt (man hat während des Essens einen Blick auf die Votivkirche), der Preis ist nicht zu teuer, obwohl die Lage wunderbar ist. Negativer Aspekt: Der Service (zumindest nach unserer Erfahrung) war wirklich schlecht. Wir haben erst 10 Minuten nach unserer Ankunft mit einem Mitarbeiter gesprochen (es waren weniger als 10 Personen im Lokal) und nachdem wir die englische Speisekarte erhalten hatten, mussten wir weitere 10 Minuten warten, um etwas zu bestellen. Ei...

I have been going to Café Stein for years, recently less often. The food is generally decent to good, portions are fairly big and prices fair. (Although, having said that, don't order the ham & eggs, they are super dry and not very tasty.) They claim to have a separate smoker's section which in principle they do: it is separated from the non-smokers by means of a glass wall with a glass door. This works fine until the lunch crowd hits the café and waiters need to go in and out of the smokers' section. Despite asking to have the door closed several times it kept being open. Reason? Well, they were so busy and had to run in and out all the time so they couldn't possibly be expected to open and... Speisekarte ansehen
