Hi,just wanted to say how sad it was today when I found out you had closed(due to the ongoing situation we find ourselves in) I have not visited Eastbourne since March this year, so very disappointed when I turned up for a coffee to one of my favourite coffee places in Eastbourne. I do hope this is only temporary and hope to see the place open again very soon. All the very best to the staff at this difficult time(posted on 07th October 2020)"

Every time we eat here, it’s a wonderful experience. The eggs benedict with smoked salmon is amazing. The staff is young, friendly, and very welcoming. We’ll definitely be back in a week!

Nice tea and cakes, not too expensive; friendly staff, attentive but not intrusive. Crucially, happy to top up a pot of tea with extra hot water, and generous with the jam to go with the excellent scones. Almost docked a star for some rather rubbishy background music, but hey, you can't have everything.

the best chocolate cake I've ever had in the house. I'm just close and I can't believe that my luck is close to such a beautiful caffe. the owners and the staff are friendly and warm, the coffee is excellent and the cakes are to die. *upfate: if you want something hearty, the eier benedikt are fantastic.

A fantastic spot for breakfast! We were warmly greeted by the friendly staff, who promptly combined two tables for us. With six of us at the table, we ordered a variety of dishes, from a hearty full breakfast to a delightful poached egg with bacon and avocado on toast. I had a fantastic experience at the newly reopened Café Sugar Lump in Eastbourne, located right across from Hughes. The atmosphere is very inviting, and the staff is friendly. The place is clean and decorated with a charming rustic style. They offer a great variety of hot drinks, smoothies, and soft drinks. I enjoyed a healthy breakfast that was not greasy at all. I will definitely be returning and would highly recommend it!

Stayed at the Premier Inn in Eastbourne town centre for the weekend and this great café was just across the road. The young Polish guy who served us was so lovely and welcoming. The food was also eggcellent! I had the eggs benedict with avocado and bacon and my hubby had the full English. Both were delicious and were washed down with yummy chai lattes. We'll definitely visit again the next time we are in town and I hope they maintain their standards.

Very good selection of healthy food hot and cold.Superb homemade cakes and scones and lovely smoothies and frozen berry and fruit drinks. Also gluten free options.We go in as often as possible since this cafe opened under new ownership a few months ago.Carlos and his family and staff are so welcoming and take a real interest in their customers.The place is spotless and has a great location for shops and the seafront,buses etc.Our favourite place in Eastbourne and good value and variety.
