Sunflower Cafe - Speisekarte

Scotsdales cafe Shelford horningsea menu is so interesting ,very poor pasty ,sausage roll with chips, sausage mash , come on scotsdale customers don't want al ar cart just a more interesting choice.

I went to this restaurant unexpectedly and was able to find a table right away. The customer service was excellent, the menu was varied, and the prices were competitive. The quality of the food was also great. This restaurant consistently sets high standards and I highly recommend it.

Pretty shocking breakfast this morning, been coming here for 20 years I will not be back, almost inedible full English breakfast, burnt sausages, burnt fried bread, and boiled mushrooms !!! my partners was no better with factory scrambled egg that looked like it had been sitting for hours, such a shame this place used to be amazing. We heard how nice the Christmas decorations were, so come to see. We was not disappointed we spent a few hours looking around and bought some new things. It was lunchtime so we had a meal in the cafe. We all chose something different. I had a hot meal, sausage and mash potato. Unfortunately it was just warm. They did try to heat it up. Not as hot as I expected to be. The rest of the food was great. The store was very large. We will be back.

Have been using the cafe for over 30 years, but we are stooping to a new low. The menu is restricted and extremely expensive. We visited for lunch today but no white bread available for sandwiches. Hardly any staff to clean tables, and even when the tables were cleared. no clensing took place. Food scraps were left on the table, and much more on the floor. Great Shelford is such a contrast to Horningsea, perhaps the staff should be taken there for training.

We went today for an afternoon tea as a group of six, with babies. We pre-booked, and the staff made sure we had a table with plenty of space around it for the pushchairs. We were given a very warm welcome. The afternoon tea itself was delicious and brilliant value for money. Finger sandwiches, a huge scone, and three cakes! Service was perfectly paced. This is the worst place my wife and I have ever had lunch. The food we ordered was a disgrace. I ordered a simple dish of Egg, Ham, and Chips, but was served fried eggs on thin slices of ham dripping in grease, making the ham inedible. The cold garden peas that came with it were a disappointment. The chips were overcooked and burnt. My wife's Bacon Cheese Panini also came with burnt chips and lacked cheese. Our friend's Ham Mustard sandwich had thick bread and overcooked chips. However, the chicken pie ordered by another friend was the only dish that looked good and was fully eaten.

My family and I visit this restaurant for lunch once a month and always receive excellent service from the staff. I often bring my dog with me and the customer service and assistance we receive for him is outstanding. The staff always guide us to a pet-friendly table in a friendly manner and offer to help. They even provide a bowl of water for my dog and shower him with attention. Our overall experience with the food is usually very positive. On a rare occasion when we found a piece of cake to be a bit dry, the staff promptly allowed us to choose something else when we brought it to their attention.

Absolutely awful, rude staff, no food, we asked for a scone she pointed to them then when we helped ourselves she asked which ones we had touched, only the ones we took with the tongs she then made a big thing about removing the plate with the remaining scones on, if we were not supposed to help our selves then why point to them and why have the tongs there the scones were nothing to write home about the wait for coffee ridiculous, we wished we had not bothered, i have been using the cafe for over 30 years but all the best staff now gone, not sure what has happened management seem to have lost the plot, Sunflower at Horningsea is now the place to go friendly, helpful ,polite staff and a syst...
