What an amazing experience for a weekday lunch in a small town with such a mind boggling choice of Eastern foods. I've never been to a buffet like it before! And it didn't end there a wonderful choice of cakes and icecreams to finish off as well. All at a reasonable price.

Food was terrible, no salt in any of the dishes, they just boil or cook without any spices or salt. felt like eating everything raw. Not recommended for Indians, Indian dishes way too horrible. We were family and friends of 11 people for my daughter’s birthday, none didn’t enjoy , quite very disappointing.

We went for lunch and when we walked in there were 2 members of staff at the desk then they both walked away and ignored us. Un be known to us we were 10 mins before they were due to open, we only knew as we googled the restaurant and found out that way. There were staff huddled in the restaurant clearly not one of them had the common decency to let us know you weren’t open yet!!! Customer Service is awful we have visited the restaurant on a few occasions but never again.

Was undecided on what to have for lunch. Have not been here for over a year so gave it a go. £8.50 for all you can eat lunch. Very basic available, Japanese run out as I arrived, Indian was uninspring. The rest looked good. Had a salad to start, then started to work through the oriental dishes, all nicely cooked if lacking real flavour. Had a pint of Cobra £4.10), which was really nice. To be honest for £8.50 it was good, more than filled me up, was well cooked and plenty to chose from. Staff were on the ball though a few smiles would not go amiss.

Not a huge fan of buffet style restaurants so my expectations were low but yet Tangs still managed to disappointed me. Firstly the buffet is tiny!!! It is mostly Chinese food the Thai offering was two curries, the Japanese was some questionable sushi and the Indian was only 3 curries the rest is variations of sweet and sour slop and school dinner pizza from the 90s (not a nostalgic memory worth recreating) The worse thing was that the salt and pepper prawns had not been deveined so literally I was eating sh!t which frankly sums up the whole experience.

Visited this place again on 29th May, expecting to see some improvement. Result is total disappointment: pointed the problems to two of their staff members, one seems to be the manager, but they seems to be helpless. Food : soups are cornflour water with some eggs, corn and soya sauce.. meat items are stale and seems to be reheated. Fresh item is the seafood kitchen where they removed salmon, prawns, and reduced quantity of availanle items. Never think about using their toilets, some asian railway toilets are cleaner. May be because of the preservatives in food, I am feeling uncomfortable now. Never again..

I should have heeded the warning signs when upon entrance we were told there was no alcohol available, chocolate fountain was not working and drinks refill machine was not working. I shouldn 't have agreed to pay full price based on this.Where to start. The plates on one of the stacks were so hot i couldn 't hold them. Just plain dangerous. Also on the dessert section, the stated 'cold plates ' were actually warm. I was watching as people spooned cream based deserts onto warm plates, yuk.The food itself was ok at best, really nothing special. First the positives food was hot, there was lots of choice, and it was tasty (the prawn and salmon, freshly cooked, was delicious! . Unfortunately, there is a definite problem with the lighting in the restaurant. We had to move tables at least three times because every table we sat at had a flickering lightbulb above us which makes me feel sick due to a disability and, I’m sure, would be dangerous for some – it definitely needs sorting out. To give them their due, the manager moved us to a room at the back where the lighting was okay, but we were away from the main restaurant and there was no atmosphere.
