"We’ve been coming here for maybe 20 years because it’s at the start (or end depending on which way you’re heading) of the Snowdon Watkin path. Which in my opinion is the best route in terms of scenery. The first time we came here a long time ago when veganism wasn’t as big a deal, the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. They made my partner a lovely hummus and onion sandwich with crisps on the side even though it wasn’t on the menu. From that time onwards, the food has just been getting better and better. Today (17.09.23) we shared an amazing cheese toasty with tasty French onion soup on the side. I also ordered a spring onion roll with salad and coleslaw. Both meals were of a standard that you would struggle to find anywhere in the area. I’m certain you won’t find any cafe, pub or restaurant in the nearby Beddgelert that can compete as I’ve already walked, cycled and driven through there numerous times this year and found nothing worth writing about. Keep it up!"

"We have often had pizzas from here and always enjoyed them, so today, after a walk nearby with my husband and daughter, we dropped in, however we were quite hungry and so decided that a panini may be a better choice as it shouldn 't take so long to cook, how wrong we were! On the menu was a tuna, cheese and onion panini but as my daughter does not like onion, I ordered one without, the girl looked a little confused, as she only knows the paninis by name (Joan! so, I repeated One Joan but with no onion please I also ordered 2 Ruperts (ham and cheese paninis! We then waited 25 minutes, having commented that we could have gone home and made them ourselves by now. Strangely the paninis were made with pizza dough! (so not paninis at all then! this made them extremely thin indeed, with not much filling to make up for it. The 'Joan ' came complete with onions despite having asked for it without (twice . All three of us were left very unimpressed and came away hungry. Stick to pizzas guys!"

"Popped in today after a walk over the hill. Friendly inviting staff quickly prepared a table as a group left and were ready for us in a very short time, despite it being busy as we arrived. The food arrived quickly and was tasty. I had a mocaccino, which was delicious. After lunch we had a selection of cakes. I cannot recommend the toffee apple flapjack enough: it is absolutely fabulous! Overall a great cafe that has survived tough times and deserves support. Well worth a visit."

"We arrived at the restaurant in Beddgelert without a reservation and were warmly greeted by a friendly host. We were seated in a cozy area near the fireplace and our drinks order arrived promptly. We were informed that food orders would be taken at 6:15pm, which worked out well since we had arrived 20 minutes earlier. I opted for the chicken leek and ham pie with chips and fresh vegetables, while my husband chose the lamb tagine with rice. Both dishes were absolutely delicious and the portions were generous. A lovely waitress checked in to make sure everything was alright, and we finished off our meal with berry crumble and pannacotta for dessert, both of which were excellent. The price we paid felt fair given the quality of the food. We had the pleasure of meeting some friendly locals and all of the staff we interacted with made us feel very welcome. Overall, it was a lovely evening and we would definitely return when in the area."

"Allowed to spend £55 on food and order to the unreserved table and 9 minutes later a front of house team member wipes the clean end of the table and sneakily places a reserved sign and states in the same action that the table is reserved at 7pm. I’d literally just paid to eat and ready to have a relaxing meal… and with the utterance of the words that the table was reserved it completely put my daughters off eating their food. Put off with worry as what would happen at 7pm when other people would turn up. What a position to place us, the customer in. For all intent and purpose it made it look as though we’d sat on a table knowing it was reserved and was setting us up for a confrontation with those who’d made a booking. Messy and unorganised and no help to move us to another table after clearly creating a situation. There were no cleaned tables, so it was for the front of house to just begin to sort this before 7pm. A lady (I believe the manager) said she’d sort it out, we never saw her again, I asked a member of staff when people from the 7pm party began to arrive about helping us to move… and I ended up with some lecture about how much time we’re allowed to eat, utter made up on the spot stuff as we’d literally just begun eating what they’d served. Disgraceful, marginalising and extremely poor service."
