Tea Room At Burnham

We went to Laura Ashley for afternoon tea . The staff was really friendly and helpful. Really had a great experience.

Wonderful food that was clearly made fresh, one vegan and the variety was lovely, would definitely recommend. Staff were polite and friendly.

Lovely room. Lovely staff. Some music would be nice as it’s very quiet! Food lovely but needs more sandwiches and fewer cakes. Scones are warm and delicious the best but! Unlimited tea which is great too. Child friendly.

Lovely afternoon tea. We had the tea room to ourselves for the first hour. Waiter came back within a few minutes of bringing our food to check everything was ok. I had to call someone from outside the room to ask for more tea and jam. Also we had to help ourselves to more water from a table. Food was good but service was poor

The Laura Ashley Tearoom in this hotel is beautiful. Crisp white tablecloths, linens and decor. The scones and cakes were delicious along with the savoury tart and smoked salmon. Unfortunately the sandwiches were slim on filling and too cold/dry. Service initially was good but overall poor as staff not very attentive during the tea. Speisekarte ansehen

The tea room is very pleasant and the food was nice but we were disappointed with the service, had to call the server over when we wanted more tea or clean cutlery, she was not very attentive. The manager was very selective who he spoke to, ignored our table completely, the lady who showed us to our table and brought our bill was very pleasant. It was nice but we have had better.

Staff member who seated us was not trained. Did not explain what savouries were and then vanished after serving us. Twice we had to hunt for a staff member to get more tea. My friend asked for more water but I was not asked if I wanted a refill. Then when I asked for more tea, my friend had to call across the room for her top up as the server did not automatically ask if both of us wanted a refill. Been here before but service this time was not up to standard

Our first time at this tea room, so we didn't know what to expect. The tea room is beautifully decorated and very clean. We booked the vegan afternoon tea and were so happy to get a full selection of finger sandwiches, freshly baked warm scones with cream and jam and a selection of cakes with lots of tea to wash it all down with. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They were happy to bring us Prosecco at request and we asked for tea refills 3 times. The price is reasonable too, considering the location. We will definitely be back. The only suggestion would be, as other reviewers have mentioned, would be to have some background music, as it was very quiet. Speisekarte ansehen
