"We had been meaning to go to this Latin American restaurant for a while the interior was stylish and cozy and the menu looked good. When we arrived, we were told that it was a special Mexican night and we would need to order from that special menu. No problem we probably would have ordered Mexican dishes from their regular menu in any case. We were told the limited menu verbally when we sat down not even a menu board and were not told anything about prices. Also, there was no mention of drinks we had to ask if they had margaritas. We were asked to place our order on the spot, which we did, a little flustered. A few minutes later, the server came back and told us that the menu was 35 euro prix fixe. My husband had not ordered a starter, and she didn 't even give him a chance to add one. And since we 'd already placed our order, it was a little awkward to do much about what we thought was a very high price for the prix fixe. The food came and was pretty disappointing compared with comparably priced Mexican food in the US. The most annoying part came when they brought the bill, at which point we realized that everything we had ordered was on the posted menu but we were just charged much more. Our bill even had the prices as stated on the posted menu crossed out and replaced with the 35 euro per person. Had we ordered off of the regular menu, our dinner would have been 30 35% less than we paid. So, in other words, the special Mexican menu was just a subset of their regular menu with higher prices that they didn 't even inform us of until after we had ordered. We felt very taken."

The Man Friend and I were visiting friends who live in Paris but are from Latin America...they were thrilled to find fellow Spanish speakers in Paris, so we popped in for some late night drinks (other than wine). The service was friendly and the ambience was really great with lots of soft lighting and pretty woodworking.

I found this little gem by chance walking randomly and turning corners as I love to do in Paris. It was like being home eating her homemade latin food! ! The chicken soup, with white rice and avocado just warmed me up inside and out. They make various latin american dishes the appetizer arepas are to die for! A great little place when I am craving momma's rice n beans : and of course, they play latin music got a good dose of Juanes when I was back last weekend. They opened four months so the place looks impeccable. Prices are reasonable too.

We ate there after reading the positive reviews online. When the shrimp ceviche arrived we were surprised to find it floating in a ketchup sauce.then the main courses: 4 people at our table, 4 plates were left untouched. The food tasted like it had been sitting around for a while.when our waitress asked if everything went well we pointed to our plates and explained it wasn't edible. Neither she nor the lady running the place offered an apology, they simply did not seem to care.the check came up to 280€ and we left with empty stomachs.steer clear!

I went to Tente en Pie for lunch today and was so impressed that I had to write a review. I have been looking for more "modern" restaurants like this in Paris recently, but I've struggled to find them. This is exactly what I was looking for. The food was great, large portions, reasonable prices, in a great setting. It reminded me a lot of the more modern restaurants in San Diego, where I moved here from. The ambiance is really nice, the restaurant in spacious (rare in Paris, and especially this neighborhood), and the service was really good. They also have a nice bar, so I think I will go back to try for a drink soon.
