"One evening during our stay in Oxford, we decided to explore the dining options on George Street. We noticed a colorful and uniquely decorated restaurant across the street that caught our attention. Craving Thai food, we entered the restaurant and were impressed by its spacious layout on multiple levels. The friendly host guided us to a cozy table downstairs, where the decor resembled a bustling Thai street market. The menu offered a wide variety of options, and we started with a Lychee gin fizz and a refreshing Singha beer. For appetizers, we enjoyed the flavorful Chili Squid before diving into our main dishes of Spicy Seafood Noodles and Fried Organic Tofu with Cashew nuts and steamed jasmine rice. The food was delicious and generously portioned, with the Spicy dish made milder to our liking. We made sure to save room for the indulgent Mango Sticky Rice dessert, which provided the perfect sweet ending to our meal. The attentive and friendly service added to the wonderful dining experience, and we found the prices to be reasonable. Overall, we would highly recommend this restaurant to those seeking a unique and memorable meal in Oxford."

I’m visiting Oxford from out of town. Outstanding massaman curry with coconut rice. Very friendly service. Would go again.

The best Thai restaurant in Oxford! My favorite restaurant to visit. Pad thai is the best! I love the mango sticky rice also, it is so creamy.

The staff is so friendly! And I don’t have to wait long for the food! The place is really fun. My favourite is the “Thai Ice Tea” . Always have a good experience there

We celebrated my daughter's birthday at our favorite Thai restaurant, which we wish was closer to us because it is truly amazing! The atmosphere is cool and the food is delicious. The staff is very friendly and attentive, and the service was quick even though the restaurant was busy. Speisekarte ansehen

After a nice day out in oxford we were recommended this place as the best Thai in oxford by one of the local pub landlords. The food was excellent and we ordered about half of the dishes. The only criticism was there was no draft lager, but they still had cans and fantastic cocktails so I didn't mind.

great dishes with affordable trips! the personal was nice and we sat very fast after we arrived without booking. the sitting was very close to other people, so a place between would have been more beautiful. I love the atmosphere in the inner and the Thai army is also incredible. we were initially told that we had a student discount, but when it was about paying, they told us they can't offer it so because of this last minute change of the price a star down. but I enjoy eating so I will return!

Great attentive service from very helpful staff. We ate early at 5.30pm and were seated quickly in great location. Exceptional tasty and varying menu which delivers great value. Portion size is generous. Ambience of restuarant is great and I loved the open kitchen you can see the skill and effort of the chefs. This is one of the best meals I've eaten in a very long time and without hesitation I'd recommend the sweet and sour crispy chicken and the pad tai vegetable noodles. This is very worthy of 5 stars. thaikun was beautiful. the ambiente was beautiful and I would my meal a 7/10. the amount is quite decent for the price, and I must say they do a really good work with their meat. I had the grilled pork and it was absolutely delicious. also the hunch was great, really fried and the amount was surprisingly more than satisfying. you must be careful with the sauces. my friends and I, Africans, didn't cost the soße especially. we thought it tasted a little strange, but of course different strokes for different people. the dessert was also dull. the chocolate cake was heavenly, could not get enough of it. the staff was polite and polite. all in all I give thaikun 7/10.

Decor is really nice and Thai and the Thai staff I spoke to were absolutely lovely and efficient. However, it went downhill from there. Massively overcooked and cold pork skewers. Garlic and pepper prawn which was a weird veg in oyster sauce affair with not many slimy prawns on top. Prawn Pad Thai was tasty enough though overly sweet with insufficient condiments to mix in, too much tofu and, again, not many prawns. Attention to detail points my beer Leo was served in a lovely frozen glass. My second beer came without a glass and I had to use my now warm glass. If you're going to the trouble of adding nice touches like frozen glasses, then be consistent. The non Thai staff in general seemed m...

"I've been going to Oxford for 3 years now and in that time to be frank struggled to find a decent go to restaurant. I can now say with delight i've found my destination. I present SPICED ROOTS a little caribbean culinary gem. The fresh perfectly cooked food is absolutely delicious and gives off that home cooked by mummy vibe and is beautifully presented. The chilli and garlic prawns had my eyes closed Mark Weins style (if you know you know) so juicy with an incredible depth of flavour, the Trini doubles not only were seasoned to perfection they left you wanting more and the Jerk chicken spring rolls were an absolute triumph. For mains we had the ackee and callaloo Jerk Tempah (vegetarian) and the Jerk chicken. Both came with rice peas, plaintain and salad. Not only were the portions huge the flavours of both dishes were just mind blowingly delicious. Then we embarked on dessert and had the beautiful spiced rum cake and a selection of 3 home made ice creams namely Coconut, Guinness and the old Caribbean favourite Rum and Raisin, all recommended by the owner. It's at this point I feel compelled to speak about the rum raisin ice cream. I've eaten this ice cream on numerous occasions at numerous locations in Jamaica over my many years and I tell you no word of a lie this was hands down the best rum and raisin ice cream I've ever tasted, it literally left us speechless. So to summarise, this place has great food, great music, great service and a wonderfully charming owner who's totally invested in serving great, incredibly tasty, authentic Caribbean food clearly prepared with love. What more could you ask for. Fair to say it was meant to be. Uncle Jay."
