"After 20 years, we finally made it back to The Angel. Things have changed a little since our last visit and a bright sunny day just added to the enjoyment. The bar tender was very busy, taking orders as well as delivering food to tables. He held his own till about 2pm when the cavalry arrived. For lunch we had tuna melt baguette and chicken strips which were both really tasty and perfect for sitting outside enjoying the weather."

A great couple running a great place. Very welcoming on our visit and nothing was too much trouble. The beers are well kept and the food is lovely. A hidden gem in a gorgeous setting.

This is the best pub in town. The welcome is always so friendly, the beer is kept great, the food is delicious and the views of the river are simply stunning. What an idyllic spot to enjoy a bite and a few beers. I bet most people don't know it's even there and yet it is brilliant if you haven't tried it yet you really must. I'll be there most weekends through the summer I reckon!
