The Bearded Baker - Speisekarte

Visited for the first time last Friday. Took away 3 bagels and 2 cinnamon dough rings. Everything tasted amazing and the staff were so lovely to me as a newbie who couldn’t make up her mind!

Sent my husband to buy donuts for my son's birthday as Kilted Donut closed on Mondays. Got 5 SMALL donuts for £17.20. The 2 jam donuts look same as basic cheap supermarket ones. What an absolute rip-off. Never again!!

We went to The Bearded Baker twice during our stay in Edinburgh—we liked it that much. The bakery's baked goods are delicious and we wished we could have tried more. The staff are friendly and dogs are welcome inside! Supply is limited, so we made a point of going earlier in the morning. Speisekarte ansehen

I LOVE the beardie, as my friend and I call it! Lovely staff, fabulous baking and top class coffee. We particularly like their no laptop policy, as there’s nothing worse that loud mouthed students who think everyone is interested in their course! We’ll be back! And will send our friends too :D

This is a terrific wee shop. We bought bagels, cakes and some of the olive focaccia today and I honestly don’t think you’d find any better anywhere else. It isn’t the cheapest but nothing is cheap these days. They’re making up the bagels fresh… I found the service really friendly, and it looked like there were plenty of other happy customers so fully deserves five stars

First time visitors from Puerto Rico. A cozy little blue painted bakery tucked between other establishments. Fresh, delicious homemade baked goods. Ordered the pastrami on bagel, bagel w/ cream cheese, filled doughnuts cinnamon rolls. All excellent. The coffees hot chocolates were tasty too ! Coming back for more before our vacations are over ! The decor reminds me of Melbourne Australia it's gorgeous. The coffee is delicious especially the decaf. Food is really good too. My only complaint is the staff are often miserable, rude and cold. There isn't a great warm or friendly atmosphere in there, it feels a bit cold and snobby and like the staff aren't happy working there. The tone certainly set by the staff. It is also a bit over priced.

Visited a few times over summer 2023 on one occasion my sister and I indulged in a little too much mary jane beforehand and started to freak out a little when ordering. The guy behind the counter was super friendly and calming. He suggested I try the cold brew with an orange slice in it and it was delightful. I often think about how poorly that interaction could have gone had we been served by someone less chill. Thanks, mystery man! There are angels everywhere, and you were ours that day. This place is great, I came here with a friend on our way out of Edinburgh to grab a quick breakfast and coffee. And I had a hard time choosing but I ended up getting a Biscoff cream filled doughnut and a regular black coffee. The donut was incredible and this was by far my favorite cup of coffee during my trip in Scotland, the only negative is that they don't sell the beans so that I can to make this coffee at home. The cafe is pretty small on the inside so you will be lucky if you get a table however during my time there, it was never that crowded.
