I had a wonderful brunch experience! The restaurant has a charming and cozy atmosphere, with friendly service. They offer an excellent variety of food and drinks. The location is lovely too.

The food looks great but it was mediocre. Place was understaffed and long queues for service /seating. It wasn't great and cost a lot for what it was. Pictured: Latte, Ginger shot, Flat white French toast with yoghurt and berries The forager (eggs and sourdough with halloumi added).

Great little place next to Zara. The food was very fresh and tasty, especially liked the home-made beans! Strong and flavourful coffee, although a bit too cold for me. The only thing detracting from the experience is the space inside, or rather the lack of space. On a rainy day in London, it was a bit cold with open doors... Speisekarte ansehen

Great place for breakfast. Tasty, fresh ingredients in nicely portioned plates. Fast service and reasonably priced. One star less because although the menu was innovative and tasty, they mixed the same components to make different plates which means if I order another plate it will contain more or less the same. Waiting for them to invent new ones. Recommended for sure.

It's wonderfully situated at the Duke of York Square. They have lots of seating outside and a few tables inside. The staff are friendly, polite and always have a smile on their face. It's a very welcoming place. The food is incredible. Their coffee is beyond delicious along with their mouth watering cakes. Lovely place to sit at and enjoy your coffee. It's a must for any foodie and coffee lover out there. I would highly recommend The Black Penny.

Can't fault it. The waitress was sweet, patient and helpful. The meal, well, I didn't expect it but it was delicious. I had crispy duck. Duck is not usually my thing. However, I fancied something different. I have no regrets. Tasted so good. The duck was crispy indeed, the sweet potatoes were yummy, the egg was runny and delicious, the spinach made me want to become Popeye. So, so good. Highly recommended. It's a shame they don't do buy one get one free. Even the non alcoholic Orchard Sunrise drink was tasty. Well done Black Penny. Speisekarte ansehen

The food, coffee, and service were all delicious. As someone with coeliac disease, I appreciated that the gluten-free options were clearly labeled, which made me feel more at ease. However, I found the portion size a bit small compared to the price of other dishes, and the duck in the duck hash was slightly dry. Other than that, the flavors were fantastic. The only reason I'm not giving a full five stars is that the restaurant was really cold inside due to the doors being left open while the waitstaff served the outdoor diners, which caused my food and coffee to cool down quickly.

Horrible food made terrible with even worse service. Food came relatively cold and with nearly zero seasoning. To make matters worse, one of the pita bread slices came half bitten off by a precious customer. The manager was very standoff-ish and didn’t care to address us waiting in the hot sun even after making eye contact several times over a long period. When we got inside, we had to take the menu’s off the counter as we waited forever for a waitress to come with the menu to no avail. Even as she saw us take it upon ourselves, she didn’t even care to apologize for neglecting us. Avoid at all costs.

I believe my dining experience could have been significantly improved if I had selected a different dish. I wanted to try their salmon, but unfortunately, they had already run out. As a result, I opted for the Caesar salad, which was quite disappointing. However, I did try the braised lamb shoulder, and that was much better. They also offer a nice brunch menu. The food did take a bit longer to arrive, but the service was good. Since it was a hot summer day, we chose to sit outside, and the sun was directly on us the entire time. I wish they would have provided some shade, not just for us, but for all patrons. Overall, it was a pleasant place to relax and enjoy brunch. Speisekarte ansehen
