Lovely sitting in the garden on a sunny day. Good friendly service and enjoyed my meal. Big portions, good price and good food if slightly limited menu. Would recommend.

Amazing food at reasonable prices, great atmosphere and lovely pub. Great choice of sitting and dining options, especially the outside which will be amazing when we eventually get sun.

The restaurant has a very small menu, but the dishes we tried were enjoyable. It is recommended to bring your own condiments as they charge 30p for a small paper pot of ketchup, which seems excessive. Speisekarte ansehen

First visit to this pub was v quiet but ave to say we had 2 great lunches and lovely freindly service our dog mad welcome we were very impressed lovely venue booed for Sunday lunch coming up can't wait to return please visit well worth a try M

My wife and I went for Sunday lunch 12 June. Food very nice, and the Yorkshire puddings are the best we’ve ever had eating out. A little crisp on top but soft and doughy at the bottom. Just how I like them, basically they were fresh. Pork was beautiful. The service was also spot on, polite and efficient. Definitely worth a visit.

We had a great lunch at this restaurant. The portions were generous and the food was well cooked and beautifully presented. We tried the Chicken Curry and a Pizza, both of which were excellent. The Hawaiian pizza stood out with its authentic ingredients. The pub is located just off the main road and has a spacious beer garden where you can relax. We popped in here yesterday after a visit to Durham. There was a Sunday Carvery which looked and smelt gorgeous so we decided to try it. We weren't dissappointed, the meat was beautiful and just melted in the mouth it was so tender. Hubby had Beef and Gammon and I had Beef and Pork. I was pleasantly surprised as sometimes Pork can be a bit dry on a carvery but this was't the case at all. Homemade Yorkshire Puddings, lots of veg, deliciously creamy, buttery mash and i do Iove a good meaty gravy. All at a great price too. Second time we’ve had food after the new owners have taken over and second time we’ve been disappointed. Chicken club burger is advertised as a buttermilk burger. I think they forgot the buttermilk or just have no idea what a buttermilk burger is meant to be. I questioned whether I’d just been given a bacon and cheese burger which isn’t even on the menu. Anyway it was bland and tasteless. The chicken looked and tasted like it had been boiled. The garnish was covered in water, so all in all it was just a watery mess. Visited on a Sunday for dinner with my partner and my child a couple of weeks ago. Lovely inside and staff friendly, also a decent choice of beer. However, extremely let down by the quality of the food. We were informed that the pork was not being served because they weren’t happy with it (fair enough I’d rather the staff be honest I guess). I went for the chicken breast and my partner went for the roast beef. The chicken breast came and was pretty plain, and my partners beef can only be described as a slab of meat.
