Really nice landlord. We only stopped for a quick coffee so 2 star rating doesn't cover food. But sorry the pub needs a bit of investment.

Lovely coffee and yummy bacon eggs. The owner is very friendly, will definitely be coming back for a visit...and to see the goats!!! How cute are they?? ????

Seven of us had a great meal out, my youngest loved the goats, chickens and ducks. My 15 yo daughter has a phobia about birds...she loved her food, but hated the chickens watching us eat though the conservatory windows...she needs to man up!

"I have never felt robbed after visiting a restaurant before, I did last night. Service was poor and slow. Although some staff were good two had attitude with everything they did. The Steak was terrible. Hard to cut despite being medium rare. For the price I could have bought 3 and cooked to a far higher standard. The entire menu is overpriced for what it is. I won't be visiting again. Lack of atmosphere and to hear who I assume is the manager at the bar saying they are too busy for more or something along those lines. It was nowhere near full and you could see they were struggling. There was 6 of us and it was the biggest waste of £200 ever. Edit: forgot to mention the menu didn't make any sense, banoffee pie said it had a digestive base but it they used rich tea. So weird."

"we were for a night and booked for dinner. nice cozy bar with good friendly service. the restaurant layout and design was excellent. many good options on the menu. Both courses were beautifully presented and very tasty. our waitress, freya was very friendly, confident and attentive. the breakfast was lovely; again, very good interesting options. all eating was over our expectations; Thank you, chief. very nice spacious room with roll-top bathroom. we recommend to mount a long dressing mirror."

"First, I want to apologize for my photos; they didn’t turn out quite as I hoped. The dining room was stunning, beautifully dimmed for a romantic atmosphere, and provided the perfect blend of comfort and style—yet, unfortunately, my camera didn’t capture that well. So, keeping that in mind, I took my photos, boosted the saturation quite a bit, sharpened them a little, and adjusted the brightness. We recently dined in the dining room at Whatley Manor, and it was absolutely heavenly."

"Really frustrated. I ordered delivery and it took 2 whole hours to arrive. I was told the driver did not leave until 1.5 hours after I ordered, even though I was told it would take 30 mins to an hour. The phone operator was aware how many miles away I was but the driver made out like it was my bad for ordering on a busy Saturday. The polite thing to do would be to offer a discount to say sorry for the wait, yet I was still made to pay £5 for a 2 hour delivery of cold food. Really disappointing customer service, especially as I've given this place a lot of custom."

"The village pub has a warm and cozy atmosphere with a local feel, and features a well-maintained real fire. A pint of lime and soda costs 2.00 GBP. The pub is dog friendly, but dogs are only allowed water outside, so my dog had a melting ice cube instead. I can only give it a 3 pawsup review for this reason. The ladies toilet was clean but could use a good spring cleaning, as there were a lot of cobwebs that didn't look like they were leftover from Halloween. The Christmas decoration draped over the old cobweb showed a lack of attention to detail by the pub staff. I hope they take note and clean it before serving any Christmas dinners. The cheesy chips, handcut or French fries, marinated olives, and sourdough warm bread are all reasonably priced at 3.50 GBP each."
