very nice eating and atmosphere. revitalizes at the weekends that gives a beautiful bush. traditional eating and something for the whole family.

my older mother is already there a few times. the staff is always well organized and polite, the ambiente is good and the eating has never disappointed.

we were here a few times when we visit ayr, but we enjoyed it so much that we actually come specifically for a visit! eating is always delicious with considerable portions, great kinder dishes and the staff are friendly with an excellent service. in any case...a visit Speisekarte ansehen

at this great place for a bite to eat and drink stopped. the personal was very attentive. sa in the well maintained garden . ales were served at the right temperature and with a smile. eating was a reasonable price and shocked to perfection. we were very welcome. a must for local and visitors alike

This is our go-to place for family events simply because we can't think of a better place! The Chestnuts is always exceptional. Great food, great service and great value. There is always a friendly welcome and we are made to feel like old friends rather...than customers and you can't get better than that. We are looking forward to the next birthday already!

Disappointing menu dated. However, what I found really bad is the fact that they describe the seabass dish from the main course as One fopillet 10.95 and two fillet 13.95. When the dish arrived the one fillet was actually half a fillet a...sliver. The dish would have been better described as sautéed potatoes and salad with a touch of seabass. Shocking at that price. The Chestnut Hotel and Restaurant experience was wonderful. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious , beautiful , clean and the antiques gorgeous and location is peaceful, serene and near the beach. The food in the Restaurant is absolutely delicious and served...elegantly. We loved our stay. Actually stayed a few days and came back to stay a few more days. A very special place in Ayr. Not far from Brigadoon and the Robert Burns Alloway church and birth place. Just a lovely setting. We look forward to going back. Thank you to the cordial staff !

Went to Chestnuts hotel today for a birthday lunch. Was dissapointed with food. Starters nice but expensive. I ordered fillet of beef stroganoff and sister and wife ordered special Roast pork. Two very thin slices of dried out pork ,Possibly childs portion. My stroganoff came,...again very small portion no effort to garnish. Rice pushed to side as if thrown on plate. About 3ozs of beef which was not fillet ,very chuck and unevenly cut around 4 pieces of meat. Sauce tasted nice. Dear at 14.95. Shame as lovely hotel with friendly staff. Poor quality food, overpriced.

The Chestnuts Hotel being local to me, As Chairman of the Ayrshire Advanced Drivers I suggested here for a gathering of some of the members after the Covid lockdown situation members of the club are from all over Ayrshire and 6 people at the event...last night it was their first visit to the Chestnuts and after the meal they said they would most definitely be back a really good meal very nice atmosphere and really pleasant staff couldn't ask for better I complement the Chestnuts again and would highly recommend to friends family and to all alike use the Chestnuts great venue great meal Simply the Best in the area Speisekarte ansehen
