Very nice pub, which we have been to a number of times. The only criticism we have is that not everything was available on the menu which, for a very quiet Thursday lunchtime was surprising. Otherwise very pleasant.

The owners are exceptionally friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home. You can order drinks and lunch from the bar, with options to enjoy your meal either indoors or outdoors. The lunch offerings are well-prepared and generously portioned. Breakfast is included and is served in the evening. You can choose from a Full English Breakfast, a Vegetarian option, or a Continental breakfast featuring croissants, yogurt, and fresh fruit. All portions are more than enough to satisfy your appetite. Overall, this is a fantastic place to stay if you're looking to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of New Forest!

Lovely pub setting with a delicious sounding menu, we went in with high hopes. However, the food was of poor quality and no flavour. I had the butternut squash and sage ravioli to start, the pasta was very thickly rolled and there was no flavour to it. My partner had the gnocchi bites which were over cooked and far too many for a starter. Unfortunately our mains were not much better. Take, for instance, the cheeseburger I ordered, which was topped with brie. I expect a classic burger to come with cheddar or American cheese, not brie, which suggests an attempt at sophistication that simply doesn't align with my expectations for a British pub. Then there was the 'Warm Chocolate Brownie.' When I asked the server if it came with ice cream, she confirmed it did. I imagined a soft, warm brownie topped with a scoop of ice cream.
